If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

If you had 5 minutes with a freelancing millionaire, what would you ask them?

I've been thinking of this several times during my online career and for the first couple of times, I came up with one question only.. What's the biggest mistake you ever made?

But, you know what? .. I wouldn't ask them that question., Because that's irrelevant. Everyone makes mistakes. That's not the important part.

I would ask them this question:

  • What was the single greatest contributing factor to your success?

If you had one chance to ask them a question. What would you ask them?

Best Regards,

If I had 5 minutes, hmmmm.

I think I would ask them for their credit and debit cards and what their pin numbers were ;)

But really, I would ask If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

How did you start?
I would want to know how they started because I want to know if they were a rags to riches story, if they had an investor help out, or if their family was wealthy and he didn't have to look for start up funding.

What was your best choice?
I'd ask this because it's always good to know what a person did right in order to push them to where they are now. A successful person won't always answer what their main money method is, but they might be willing to let you know what their best choice was and you could build off of that ;)

Do you think I should change anything?
I'd ask them this because if they're already a millionaire, they probably know what I should change with my business plan. Knowing my own flaws is the easiest way to fix them, but you can't always see your own flaws so it's good to hear it from an outside source.

What is the best way to increase my profits or ROI?
This is the main question that would be on my mind. Increasing my investment is the best way to become successful because you can't just put $15 and break even because you'll never be successful. Now putting in $15 and pulling out $150 is much more appealing to me If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

My questions and answers may take more than 5 minutes. Could I have a few hours? If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

You get five minutes. Nothing more than that. ;)

I do agree with your questions though. Much appreciated. The question about ROI is a superb question!

LOL good question. After little bit of thinking, you know what, i wouldn't probably even ask it at all If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire.. Nothing regarding freelancing, because i would probably research and study it before meeting. 5 minutes is too short for so many things we could have to ask...

Instead i would have cup of coffee with him / her and have nice little chitchat like: How you feeling mate? How you enjoying your life?.... If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

Haha, what?! A coffee and nothing more than that?!

I do agree about 5 minutes being to little time to get answers for all your questions you might have, but at least, you'll get those 5 minutes. It's 5 more minutes than most others have ever got. Wouldn't it be better to make those 5 minutes count and make sure you'd get something out of it instead of drinking coffee? If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

Well i thought i couldn't squeeze out enough info in 5 minutes to boost my business. But in other hand, you know what, if he / she would be really honest, one short sentence can turn your life in completely different direction. So you are right.

Previously i had one conversation with some very good business man where he told me just one sentence which made me think about for couple of days, then i used his short advice and succeeded much more then i probably would do if i didn't consider his friendly advice. So yeah, it worth asking and being "spot on" with your question.

Oh, that's amazing anweb, I'm glad you nailed it If You Had 5 Minutes With a Freelancing Millionaire..

Yeah, I do believe that one might think that these 5 minutes wouldn't be enough to learn something of true value, but it's actually foolish to think so. Even though you might not be prepared with a billion questions, just one single question and an in-depth answer for that question might be exactly what you need to turn your whole life around.

First up I would ask for a loan hahaha.

Ok seriously I think I would ask what the most valuable lesson they can share with me is. Not just in business but in life itself.

I don't believe success is all about business, I think it is also about a mindset, a way that people think and the attitude they have.

I think I would also him what is the main reason you feel you managed to do so well? It is not about a secret I believe, or just getting lucky. It takes time to become successful and to gain so much. And I believe he too would have spent a considerable amount of time trying this and that, and gaining experience, until finally he managed to do really well. Some tips and suggestions to improve would obviously be helpful, and maybe he could even have some sort of job/post to offer me which could help me do better who knows?! Well, I don't think I would ask any questions.. Here's why:

I don't want to know about their fails, or successes, I want to focus on me, and find out what I am doing wrong, and where I can progress. I tend to think people do things differently, sure some may still be doing the same old marketing tactics, or strategies that everyone and their third cousin removed does but why not ask what's not being done, and why?

I like to think outside the ball park. Some people are still boxed in, and don't even care to explore other areas. Now when someone, with the name starting with a J reaches one million that'll be a totally different story. ;)

Hi hitmeasap,

This is a good question. There will be a lot of things I would want to ask them because I want to get to where they are at. I would probably ask them for advice on how I can improve my income and what things I can do to become a better freelancer. I mainly want advice on how I can move a step further because this way I can actually get something out of it that I can measure and not something that I can just think about and brings me no actual short term use.

Kind regards,
MasterA

This is quite a tough question, but if I had a 5 minutes discussion with a freelancer millionaire, I am going to ask him to be my mentor. Yeah, I would want to work and remain loyal to him for the time being, so as to get enough time to enable me to build u my online presence as well.

The question that popped into my mind is:
how are you doing
It is important to know how a successful freelancer is doing rather than what he is doing.
Once we know the secret, we can emulate that and become successful.

I had some opportunities like that with the owner of our company who happens to be the richest man in our country. That was a long time ago when he was still not sick. I don’t remember what I asked him because he was on a visit to our department and he was always ready with his short speeches. But looking back maybe I could ask him where he got his confidence in pushing through the business despite the odds against him.
