Journaling for stress relief

Do you find it useful to journal when you feel stress? This has always been one of my best ways to relieve stress and anxiety and it helps to get the thoughts out of my head and into a concrete form so that I can analyze what I'm really feeling. Does this work for you?

I'm very happy with my personal journaling. Though I write lots of private things down in my journal.

I worry that one day someone might gain access to my private journal and that would be very embarrassing for more than just me as I write about everyone there.

There is an amazing meditative quality to reading familiar passages, such as this.

You can use journaling to help you deal with stressors you don't feel comfortable sharing with others. Stress psychologists have shown that journaling enhances immune function and can alter the course of chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.

If I'm stressed or feeling under the weather, I will usually just post a little note on my Facebook. It amazes me how supportive online friends can be. Sometimes, just getting the words out of your head and sharing with others is enough to feel some relief from daily stress.

Stress is not good to us. Thus we should avoid it and keep us free from it.

Journaling is a way to relieve stress. Write down your thoughts each night before going to bed. You will be surprised going through the journal that you can identify things that stresses you and can deal with them once they are identified. You can also know when you are just tired and when you are stressed.

Well, not at all. When I'm stress the last thing I think about is my journal. Usually I grab my earphones and Ipod and listen to some of my favorite tracks, or do some yoga, or go for a walk. For me, journaling will give me more stress. Maybe because when I'm stressed I can't think properly, and I need to be focused and inspired to write down.

I think doing what gives us joy is a way to relieve stress and have a good time. I always enjoy reading football news and whenever I feel down or stressed up, I scan the internet for latest sports and football news and enjoy reading them.

Do you know that blogging started as a way to relieve stress? It is the original journal keeping in the internet. In fact, it was originally called website log and later shortened to weblog. Now, it is simply called blog. When I was invited to be a co-blogger, the niche was my passion so I hastily agreed. And although writing blogs need effort and lots of time, I can say that it is a stress relieving activity. That's why I was kind of sad when I couldn't submit blogs anymore due to lack of time.
