How are you handling the stresses of daily freelance life?

Every day, after my regular job is done, I start on my freelance work. And, lately I have been experiencing stress about deadlines and trying to get everything right. I am not sure how to deal with this stress and it feels overwhelming sometimes. Does it ever get easier?

You'll need to be more organized with your time and compartmentalize your day, dealing with one part at a time. Looking at the big picture can be overwhelming. If you are at the end of a long day and look ahead, it might be too much for your mind to handle. Take it one hour at a time. Take frequent breaks.

I just somehow deal with it. I know that it is not always easy and I guess that when you have support from others, it just makes it that much better.

I take frequent breaks and always make sure that if I start to get crabby I stop what I am doing and do something that I enjoy for 10 minutes or so.

I plan out daily what needs to be done and get to work on it. I have goals as well that help me deal with my stress and I always try to reward myself if I can.

Keep your life in perspective. If you are working toward a specific goal, that will help you to work hard even when you are tired.
For instance, don't just say that you are working to earn more money. Identify something you would like to do with that extra money you are earning. Maybe you could tuck the money away for a European vacation or to fix up things around your house. This will keep you motivated even when you are tired.

Motivate yourself to reach your goal. Even it stresses you, find a way to make time for yourself also. Manage your time and organize your plans to ease your stress. Focus on specific goal, with that you will be motivated to work hard for that goal.

This may sound corny to you but I play Candy Crush. That is my stress reliever whenever I feel tired physically or mentally, I take a break to play Candy Crush. When I am at home, my dogs are my stress relievers especially when I have treats for them, they rush to me and pester me until I give them the treats. But since I am always busy, I try to take a break once in a while so that stress will not pile up. Whatever work you do, whether an office work, a labor job, or freelancing, don't forget to take a break at least every hour.
