Have you ever lost good friends?

Over the years, I have lost many good friends due to separation. For instance, when I left home to go to college, me and my friends grew apart and rarely spoke after ward. It seems sad now as I lost many people I cared about a lot.

Yes I have lost some good friends. but it was because they made some really stupid decisions that I did not want to be a part of and refused to hang with them because of it.

This is understandable. And, sometimes you need to break ties with destructive people or they will take you down with them.

This happens a lot in life, but don't worry, as you will meet new people who you can keep in contact with.

yes you should never remain friends with someone that will take you down and not care. Even if you have been friends for a time, you should call it off.

Self preservation is a very strong instinct and you should listen to it, especially when friends are encouraging you to do things that don't feel right or could lead you down the wrong path. That's when you need to break ties or just give them a break for awhile until they get it together.

I've lost plenty of good friends that I wish I could get back. Its nothing like having a good friendship, someone you can trust, tell everything too, and be yourself around. I have made some mistakes in the past, that caused me to lose one of the best things that ever happened to me, a friend. I soon came to realize that I need to cherish that one special friend or multiple amazing friends instead of taking them for granted. When you lose them or you are no longer friends you soon come to your senses and feel guilty for your actions and how you treated them without even realizing it. Now with my new friendships I promised to myself to hold on to those friends and never let them go because they are what keeps me happy and motivated. Good friends can make a big impact on someones life, they can change someones whole life around from bad to good. Keeping positive people around you gets you motivated to do better and be happier. Friends are everything, and they deserve so much credit because they are truly amazing.

Yes I have lost a good friend about five years ago. I did something wrong and hurt my friend. It was not intentional and once I realised my mistake, I apologised for it but she would not accept my apology. She says I betrayed her trust. I was very sorry about this but she said she needs some time to heal. Unfortunately, I moved away not too long after this and the relationship sort of fizzled out and we never made up.

When I entered college, my best friend in high school went to the US to live with her American father. I missed her so much and there were nights that I was crying. There was no internet yet and the only means of our communication was the postal mail. Eventually we both got tired of writing and that ended our connection. Another close friend in college also went to the US after we graduated. Those losses somehow made me stronger emotionally.

I'm extremely happy and lucky to be able to say that I have not permanently lost any of my closest friends. There have been periods of separation at times where it felt like we would not be in contact anymore, but true friendship always finds a way to survive. It often ended up that I would reconnect with these friends and pick up from exactly where we left off, as if nothing had even happened. Those moments are pretty amazing. I don't think that it's ever too late to reconnect with someone you haven't spoken to in a long time, as long as it is a real friendship.

I rarely speak with most of my good friends that I made while at the university. I mean these are people that were there for me during the highs and lows of life and I was there for them as well. I think with time, I can regain those friends again, but it is going to take lots of efforts to happen.

I've lost some good friends for many reasons. One, is that they have migrate to other countries, the situation in my country is literally desperate, so everybody is trying to make a good life out of here. Some others unfortunately got sick and passed away. And some others just got distanced, we had differences, or simply stopped talking. I have good memories of them, and that's what matters, they were in my life in a moment I needed them, and we learned good things from each other.
