    Should you backorder a domain?

    If the domain name you want is currently taken by someone else, would you back order the domain? And, would that guarantee that you could use that domain when it becomes available?

    I have never actually done this because I just don't see the point of it especially since most people can just renew the domain (I think, I'm not exactly the best person to be answering this to be fair). What I tend to do if a certain domain is taken, is to just come up with a different name or domain that is available and I can purchase. If you pay when you are back ordering a domain, I am sure that you are guaranteed that domain when it expires for the other person/business.
