    Beverly I never thought of it that way. But yes if you are not going to find out what your audience wants then you will suffer for it. Great tip.

    My biggest mistake is not targeting my audience right. I mean I have lost taking marketing some of my services to people that I've met on Facebook and noticed lately that they really needed someone that can do such work for them.

    Sharing the same content over and over is one of the biggest mistakes people do while doing social media marketing. Another mistake related to social media marketing is not building followers who are actually interested in the content being marketed by the social media marketer. I see many people marketing games to the other who are only interested in cooking.

    In my Facebook account, I have experienced seeing a post that was repeated several times. It is a dropshipping business and I understand that they need to sell. But posting the marketing spiel and later on sharing the same post just to refresh is unethical much more if the sharing is 4 times in a day and again on the next day, huh, that's exaggerated. Clearly, it was spamming in the highest order. I unfollowed that friend and I just couldn't unfriend her because I know her personally. So now I don't see her posts anymore.

    My greatest mistake I made with social marketing was not reading about how social marketing works, i just went headlong into it and it didn't work out the way it should and I became a total failure,So I had to retrace my steps and here I am today doing better from my research over the months.

    Human beings learn by trial and error. You will learn better by doing it (even if you are doing it the wrong way) rather than reading about it. If you do not attempt, you will never learn. The mistakes you commit will teach you to become better.
    One of the common mistakes that I see people making is not using hash tags or using too many hashtags.
