Privacy settings on Youtube

I want to keep people from seeing what videos I have searched for, watched or uploaded on Youtube. What are my options?

Select unlisted for a video. That way you can hide it from the public, but still choose to give the link to anyone you want.

That is a smarter privacy option for videos, rather than just private videos which can't be seen by anyone but you.

You can go to your Youtube homepage, where your feed is listed and you will see a section called actvity. On your activity feed, you will see videos that you have liked, channels subscribed to or comments made. For each one listed, you will have the option to delete or hide it from your feed so that others can't see.

I didn’t know that there are lots of features that I can use in Youtube. Maybe this is to show my ignorance of Youtube. Perhaps it is nice to tweak on those options so as to make some features private. Our Youtube channel is set to open that’s why all the options are on public display. We are now changing the tags of our videos so that it can somehow be competitive in terms of traffic against other videos.

This would be a useful way to clean up your feed if you are sharing your video account with others and recent activity was not your own.

If you have set a video to unlisted or private ,that video won't show up on playlists for which it's included. Or, at least the video will be marked as 'private', meaning that only you can see it when you are logged in and watching that play list.
