    Will Facebook ever go out of business?

    Over the years, so many social networking sites have come and gone. And, though everyone says Facebook will last forever, I don't think that's possible. Have you prepared yourself for Facebook's end?

    Facebook earns hundreds of millions of dollars yearly on advertising revenue. What are the chances Facebook would ever go out of business with that type of financial backing?

    I guess yes. One of my cousin said me that he finds facebook boring, and he is 10 years younger than me ! It means next generation might find it boring and useless. So, I guess facebook has it's end too.

    Sometimes I feel bored on facebook. I guess it is because many of my friends are getting busy with there 'real' life and they are spending less time on virtual world.

    I don’t think FB will go away very soon. For me, it never interested me upto an extent that if it fails I will miss it.
    There are few good things about facebook. It found & connected those people to me who I almost lost contact with.
    For me, it is losing sheen.

    Yes yes, agree! Myspace is just useless!!! Myspace used to have a really good thing & people loved it-but now you've destroyed all of it-very sad! Will Facebook ever go out of business?

    Facebook is the best data mining website on the internet. It will not go out of business.. lol Sure, there may be new competitors, but Facebook's yearly revenue is more than enough to provide all the changes it needs to have. What will people do without their Candy Crush ? LOL

    Facebook is the largest social media network in terms of users with more than 2 billion of them. In the Alexa ranking, I think Facebook is in the top 5 which means it gets a lot of traffic. You can imagine the profit of Facebook because of those figures. As of now there is no pretender to the throne of Facebook and it looks like it will stay on top for a longer time. That idea of going out of business is absurd.

    Facebook is one of those companies which have grown to such an extent that in my opinion can't go out of business or close shop. It can however evolve to something new in the future. But for the next decade or so, Facebook will continue to grow.
