According to wiki,...Click-through rate (CTR) is the ratio of users who click on a specific link to the number of total users who view a page, email, or advertisement. It is commonly used to measure the success of an online advertising campaign for a particular website as well as the effectiveness of email campaigns. hence a good one is one that has a good number of visitors clicking on sub-links within the site.

All the responses so far haven't actually answered the question, which is what is a GOOD click through rate, not what IS a click through rate. We don't need the definition of a CTR to answer the question, as the OP already knows that.

A good one varies wildly according to your source of traffic. Organic, search traffic will bring a higher CTR than random hits. Further, it also depends on what the visitor is clicking on (link? banner? text ad?).

The more you know...

CTR or click through rate is new to me. I didn’t know that there is such a thing regarding the statistics of the site. I think this is another aspect for website owners to know and determine because when the CTR is low that means the number of visitors who clicked on your backlink is just few. That is food for thought that gives you an idea of what to improve on your backlinks.
