Google update that kills exact match domains

Matt Cutts announced that Google released another update that will "reduce low-quality ‘exact-match’ domains" ranking in Google.

Anyone get hit by this? It supposedly impacts 0.6% of English-US search queries.

The update was actually implemented last Sept 24. There are lots of webmaster that has EMDs got hit due to it and two of my Website was hit too. I already ask some people about how to recover from this update and they replied just what they use to - add more unqiue contents.

My site is actually updated regularly and I create articles on my own so I know its unique and informative. I just don't know why google did it to my site. Has anyone ever recovered from it?

I read that it was suppose to only hit low quality EMDs. I'm guessing those that were spun. Perhaps it picked up your site on accident. What is a URL to one of them?

My site promotes a single city in our country where people everywhere around the world visit. This site use to rank in the second of the primary keyword I promote. Now, i can't see it unless i search the url itself lol and who would do that right?

Forgeive me for not revealing though. however, It did something crazy in a way because the subdomain forum of it now ranks miraculously in the 8th position of the same keyword.

I guess Google is doing mankind a good thing by instilling a sort of discipline on the users. Take note that the SEO methods are being cannibalized with the black hat methods that is like cheating. With the low ranking sites that get a good ranking just because of the exact match domain in the search key will now be useless and futile.
