Can I disable cookies to prevent seeing ads online?

If I disable cookies, will I still see banner ads online? I want to see the fewest flashing banner ads possible.

You'll still see advertisements online, but they won't be based on your browsing habits and not likely targeted to your interests. At least, that's true for interest based advertising such as Google Adsense. If a webmaster is hosting his or her own banner ads on a page, those can be easily blocked with a browser plug in such as Adblocker Plus.

cookies are used to store personal information about each site you visits eg passwords, username etc. they are not in any way related to online adverts. you can download plug-ins and install it to your browser to block ads.

All he should do is to just download any reliable pop-up blocker and all your problems will be solved. that is how i do handle these unwanted ads.

Some of the ads, have to do with what type of Browser you are using. On my Chrome, i have installed two plugin extensions adblock and adblock plus. I did this because the new improved adsense google ads with Scout? Block some of the content that I actually want to see. And find it Annoying. And they also make alot of the sites slow-running. Also, they don't screen enough, and a couple times the ads would say download better version of flash. which of course were viruses, so I use the blockers. Makes the websites run better.
