How much time do you spend in advertising your websites?

I've never spent money on advertising. I made a deal with myself years ago that i'd start spending money once all the free places/ways of advertising ran out. And, more places keep opening up, so i haven't spent money yet. But a nice paid blog review could be useful for some sites.

Do you mean to say that you do not advertise your website? Maybe you have spent not money but time in posting a marketing spiel for your website especially when it was new. In my plan of a new website next month I am thinking of promoting it in social media. However it is an e-commerce site so I am not really betting on it that I would get a lot of interested people from my social media circle.

I have spent money on advertising many times. But usually I don't spend a cent. I do it all with articles, SEO, link exchanges, forums, blogs, etc....

I spend time mostly but some money. I don't have a set figure, just whatever I can muster up or that I earn for the month from my websites.

I myself also haven't spent money on advertising but I do spend a lot of time on doing this before, along with my other signature posting work. If I were to choose, I will choose to spend time, rather than my hard earned money.

Of course, time is money and if you have a job then you have to sacrifice time from your job (or your personal life) to advertise your website. For that reason, it's often easier and cheaper just to hire someone to build links or advertise for you.

I do not mind spend a little money to get people to my site if they are really interested in the niche, but I won't just pay for traffic as that traffic won't actually convert.

Every day I spend about 1-2 hours advertising my websites on social media, forums and blogs. When I am marketing my websites, I don't do it in one single session, instead, I will spend 10-20 minutes in half a dozen sessions at different times of the days. If you promote your websites in different time of the day, you can reach people in different time zones. I have done paid marketing, however, these days, I am more comfortable doing fee advertising. Instead of spending money on ads, I prefer to develop my website.

I've always been smart to advertise on the social media and on blogs that I have an agreement with to write articles on while I share my links in the blog. So, I have not spent much on advertising for any reason.

For a popular blogger, she said that she spends less time now because she already has a legion of readers and she is considered an influencer. But before she hit success, she was spending 2 hours every day in promoting her blog all over the internet. She has created accounts in almost all the major social media network. Every day, she would use her accounts to get a chance to post her link because you cannot just post your backlink for you may be tagged a spammer and that will kill your chances. I guess an hour or 2 every day is the minimum time you need to spend if you want your website to get enough new traffic.
