Scary moment with Adsense

I had a really scary moment with Adsense today. I could not login. And, the password that I've used for awhile wasn't working. I tried some previous passwords and those were not working either. I don't know why it didn't work.

I clicked on the link under the box to try to recover the password. And, they sent me to a trouble shooter which was really annoying as it took many clicks and pages to finally get to a page where they would agree to let me enter an email address where I could recover the password. It's all sorted out now, but an experience I would not want to go through again.

How did you get it sorted out? Did you do a password reset?

That must have really sucked. I hate it when I can't remember my passwords because then I have to wait forever just to get a new one and get it all sorted out. I am glad you got it worked out though.

Hopefully you got it worked out as that could be a bad situation if you could not login anymore to your Adsense.

I was able to get them to reset the password. It was just very bad timing as one of my game accounts had a pin compromised the same day and had to be reset. So in the back of my mind, I was worried there could be some spyware issues going on. I scanned my computer and there was no spyware. I still don't know why I could not login.

It happened to us earlier this year. When the hard disk of our home desktop crashed, we were not able to backup everything that included the list of passwords. It’s a good thing that Google Adsense has a way of resetting the password although I have to admit that it also scared us just like what Beverly had experienced. Now, we are keeping a copy of our password list in the email so when something drastic happens at least there is an easier way to check the passwords of our accounts.

Did you check to make sure everything was in place? A password typically doesn't change on its own.
