Have you ever been accused of spam advertising?

Was one of your forum posts (on a site where you were advertising or had a signature link) ever flagged as spam? Did you ever get accused of spamming a social network such as Facebook or Twitter? What was the penalty?

I've not had any of my forum posts flagged as spam. And, if you post thoughtful comments, it shouldn't happen to you either. Just approach a forum with a helpful attitude, with the mindset that you are going to assist others come up with solutions to their problems and you will always be welcome on that forum.

Google+ sent me an email saying I was spamming because the only posts I made were for my own website posts. Kinda stupid because I do this on Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr all the time, for years.

Yes I have been accused of spam for a client that I worked for. This was not on any social site but for a forum. I posted for him in various sites, as he told me what to post, and it was flagged as spam.
