Offline marketing for website traffic

Is it possible to use regular offline marketing to get traffic to an online site or blog? Is this the most effective way to get traffic? Can you suggest better?

I have used flyers successfully. I drove people to a toll-free phone number, not to a website. The only way to know if offline methods work for what you're selling, is to try it and see what results you get. No one can tell you for certain if something will 100% work, it's up to you to try and test for yourself.

I think flyers, newspaper ads usually do work. But there are times when the offline marketing does not work the way we want it to work. And that creates some issues in such case. So it all comes down to offline marketing being used to acquire customers. I am not sure how some people make use of the direct mailing feature. Because that feature is known to have some issues with it for sure as well.

If you mean offline marketing is using a billboard in the highway or tarpaulin in the streets, I have to agree that it can get hits for your website although, of course, it will depend on the kind of advertisement, the contents and the approach to the audience. I have been seeing advertisements in the back of public buses here and I’d say it has a wide audience. But for website traffic, I’d still say the social media is the most potent way.

Unless your website is a shopping site or a business website, billboard advertising is not a good idea. Do you think you can afford to have a billboard in a primary location for your blog. having said that there are some ways to do offline marketing, for instance, you can paste a poster on a coffee shop, library, community halls etc.
