Hiding you are an affiliate store?

I have seen many affiliate stores trying to hide they are an affiliate store and claiming to be their own marketplace. I am not going to give examples but sites who don't even mention Seocheckout and such is what I mean. I am quite open about being an affiliate store myself and I have still received affiliates through it.

Do you/would you hide the fact you are an affiliate store or are you/would you be open about it?

seocheckout affiliates should be very proud of their status as Seocheckout members. No reason to hide the affiliation. It's not as if the potential buyer won't realize the truth once they click through anyway.

Here's why. I personally will NOT even click on a link in a Store that I know is an affiliate Store because I know there's a middleman who takes part of the profit.

Many people are turned off by affiliate stores and may think that if they buy from an affiliate, that they will be charged MORE for their Item (even though that's not the case).

Therefore, they would usually just go directly to the source rather than risk it. So if you post that you're a "Proud affiliate of seocheckout.com" in your Affiliate Store. More times than not, people are just gonna open a new browser and type in "seocheckout.com" or Google it- and you'll miss out on an affiliate.

@Dayton - It's fine if they realize the truth AFTER they click through. But only IF they click through. You have a better chance of them clicking through is you keep the Site a mystery, rather than Display "seocheckout.com" all over your Affiliate Store. Most Internet users aren't smart enough to View a Link Source PRIOR to clicking on it anyways.

But do it whichever way you want.

Just telling you which way works for me. Here are my Affiliate Stats:

This is really helpful, thanks for the post. Seeing as I am switching hosts, I will be changing my affiliate store a bit and promoting it a lot more etc. In this case, I will make it more mysterious until after, haha. Thanks again.
