Do you research at the library?

Our local library has a really amazing reference section for all kinds of things from health and medical issues to historical events. And, I love going there to browse through the editions. When I find some information that I want to include into my online content, I will usually photocopy those sections to take home for my own reference. This is necessary as most of the reference, scholarly books are not available for check out. I have compiled many folders of useful content in this way.

I use to go to the local library years ago, but veered away from it. My local community has recently rebuilt a new library. It's supposed to be much better than the old one, so I think I may take a gander soon.

I like reading about many different things, however what I find difficult is remembering to return the book back to the library...lol

i prefer researching on the internet using my mobile phone because it is less stressful and quick and youcan do ti anywhere ,any time. my local library is far and searching through book stands is stressful.

Yes, you can get lots of information on just about anything, however.... Beware of the same amount of false information swarming around the world wide web. It's easy to get caught up with an article based on "facts", or a heartwarming story about a dogs miracle recovery from a horrible accident.... But be forewarned... Not all stories/article/etc are true... Not even remotely close.

I always prefer to checkout how credible the information is... Books. Good ol' fashion books, can give you more than enough information about any topic, and they can lend them out to you to better your educational experience.

Instead of being stuck in the house looking up research, you could get out of the house, get a coffee, and head to the library where you can enjoy the touch and smell of books. I know that may sound a bit weird to you, but after a while it will all become about the technology, and the good ol' fashion ways will be no longer available. No more feel of the book, no more smell....

Just the rat tat tat tat sounds coming from cell phones and tablets/iPads/etc.

A very good point about how some online articles are more fiction than fact. A book that is published in hard bound form, will have been extensively fact checked by the editor before publication. That might not be true of an online article or site, where anyone can write and submit content to sites for publication. Always best to double check 'facts' before relying on them.

In fact I conduct many online researches but at times it may happen that I can't get whatever I am looking for online. When I am writing my journal articles I have to make sure that my information is correct and this is reason why I visit libraries to ensure that I have the right information.

Actually, I do all of my research online anymore. I still love the library, but strictly for entertainment purposes when I have time to read a good novel or comic book, really.

I find that with so much information at our fingertips thanks to the internet, it's far easier and efficient to sit down, buckle up, and just start reading or watching videos on whatever topic it is I want to learn about. Being that everything online is being ever more interconnected (YouTube suggests next videos to watch, websites will recommend similar articles, etc), it's incredibly easy to continue to further your knowledge on a topic simply based on the web of interconnected mediums you can browse.

I always do my research at the university library then while at school. It is cheaper and authentic than visiting some sites online to check some facts.
