    Feast or famine freelancing

    How do you deal with the irregular income that freelancing can provide? Some months, sales are way up, like three times more than normal. Other months, sales and income is way down. Often, this is called, 'feast or famine'.

    For my part, I am trimming expenses and looking at any way possible to save until sales kickstart again. What are some other things that can be done to deal with the feast or famine cycle of freelancing?

    Just start advertising more. If you can get the word out about your services, you will have a better chance of getting more work. Then you won't experience this typical slump in business.

    In the past I had a BAD experience with a freelancing website (unique source of income), that in a month dropped my sales from $3500 to $450. Next 4 months were very difficult for me, until I started to develop new sources of income: Seocheckout + another 2 microjob freelanceing websites + adsense. More over, in that time I found that adsense have a huge potential (now I'm buying many articles from writers for my blogs and share the posts to 45,000 real and targeted G+ followers).

    Also, I started as a reseller, too: I resell awesome $3 services on other websites or I'm using some SMM Panels to resell Social Media services: likes, views, followers, etc.

    It's like selling a $3 service from Seocheckout with $30 on ebay or other websites.

    Yes I have this from time to time. I hate not knowing if jobs will dry up so I do not like to say no ever to a job.

    It's a good strategy to have fall back earning sites in case the usual sources of income dries up. For this reason, I still do transcription from time to time as I don't want my membership to be revoked due to inactivity. Likewise, I almost always take advantage of opportunities for work even if it means foregoing some hours of sleep or changing my schedule. I save a portion of my income for rainy days and cut back on expenses during slack season.
