$1.00 sales don't turn into repeat business for me

I'm not sure how it works for all of you, but I've found that having an intro type service, such as 5 posts for $3.00 is fairly popular but the customer almost never comes back to order a larger package.

The only buyers who come back are those who paid a lot of money to start with. For instance, if a customer pays $45 to $45 on the first order, they almost always come back later and that's repeat business.

And, I know many sellers rely on affordable/budget priced services (such as $3.00) and it works for them, but maybe that's just what those services sell for. Possibly it varies by niche, as to whether or not a $3.00 service results in repeat customers.

I don't have good results gaining long term customers offering a 'cheap' service.

Usually low price services (such as $3) are great for getting the attention of new customers. After the new customers click on our service to read its full title and description, it depends by what call to action messages and extras are used:
  • 1st call to action message related to our 1$ service must to get the trust of our new visitors: professional service and a good price for small (business/website/etc) improvements;
  • 2nd call to action message need to be reflected by EXTRAS with awesome titles for medium to high prices ($14-$149)

And, I always over deliver on the $3.00 orders as I know it's a 'foot in the door' type of service. But, so far, none have turned into repeat business for higher paid services.

I like what you suggested about offering extras to increase the base sale amount. I will try out this idea.

The idea with expensive extras I already tested on other market and it helped me to increase the revenue per order plus some returning buyers. Good Luck!

One would think that with it being such a small order they would want to come back and place another order.

$3 service working good and we definitely get repeat buyer but our service must full fill the requirement of the buyer for example:
if you provide 500 verified US traffic for a website than this type of service is sales more and you definitely get repeated buyer.

$3 services work best with social media likes/followers and website traffic, but not much else. I only have one $3 listing and have had several initial sales and repeat sales from it from regular traffic buyers.

And, that's what I was hoping, but not so far.
In fact, I see the opposite to be true. If a client orders a very large contet package from me, they are likely to reorder the same later.

ok, that makes sense. My services focus on writing and everything I do takes time. And, a $3.00 job might take up to an hour to complete, so it's not really feasible anymore to do that. Though I appreciate all business, and give top quality whether they pay $3.00 or $300, I have to allot my time carefully as there are often really big writing projects that need attention too.

im not sure about this ... Those buyers who are willing to buy more and spent lots of money they just use the $3 service as test purpose. If they like the service then they buy bigger gigs. It actually results in increase of sale coz lots of buyer can have the chance to try your services in a very cheap price.
