What do you think about freelance site tests?

The only thing I don't like about some freelance sites is how they make you take all those tests to qualify for certain jobs or pay for enhanced premium membership before you can apply for the really good paying jobs. There is such intense work to get a chance at those jobs and then a lot of competition.

It sounds like another money making scam where the site owner gets potential job applicants to pay more for the chance to work. Having a site where you can simply list your services without pre-qualification is better as it means that anyone can work, even those who can't afford to pay for tests.

In a certain way it is a good thing. I can understand that those sites only want to hire the best. I completed many tests on some freelance sites and even scored 100% on some of them and yet I never got any job from them. That's a bit discouraging because I spent so much time to complete the tests. There was a particular site where the passing mark was 90 and I scored 88 and I was rejected. Sometimes those tests make it difficult for you to get jobs on particular sites.

Well, you don't expect the site owners to use a magic wand thereby knowing who's good or bad in terms of doing the offers perfectly well.I don't mind taking the test but the annoying thing is not getting offers after the test it can be very annoying. But for the test it just the best especially if a site owner just wants the best freelancers for his or her site.
