    Do you get work through WTB?

    There are some really interesting Want to Buy listings on the WTB section of seocheckout. But, the ones in my own niche seem limited, or the pay is not in keeping with the amount of work required, such as buyers who want 50 blog comments for $3.00. Then again, some of the Want to buy section are priced far more than I could have anticipated, such as $120 for a forum posting service on a new forum. These type of WTB help me understand what a new forum owner might be willing to pay so I can price my own services accordingly.

    Do you ever get work through the Seocheckout WTB section? Have you found some really good WTB that paid well?

    Some of the WTB are just wishful thinking, such as what the buyer wants to pay rather than what a seller will do the work for. There are only so many hours in the day, an average person could not work for so little.

    I don't use it, simply because of the pricing. I understand we can set our own prices however I don't like asking above the amount they are requesting. It is like "I would like 100 HQ posts for $3" which is worth at least $10, depending on your pricing. I rarely take a look, but they are either too cheap or have been completed/expired.

    Sometimes, I find a WTB listing that I really like and think I would like to do and then check and it's completed or expired and it's very discouraging as it would have been perfect for my skill set. :/

    It is annoying, they also seem to be the ones with a decent price as well. I think completed/expired WTB listings should be hidden or at least placed in another section, as I never check to see if a listing is open until I want to bid on it.

    I chuckled when I read this, as I did say in another thread about my one experience through the WTB section.

    People aren't willing to pay for your valuable time. There was one I was looking at today which wanted 50, 500 word articles for $1050. They wanted it t ALL to be completed in 10 days. That's only $4/article, which would only leave me with $10.60/article. On top of all that you have a strict deadline to meet... For my life style, it's unrealistic. Then you see people only willing to pay $10, $4, $10, or $10 for articles that have such a ridiculous amount of work... it's shocking to see the expectation of such cheap individuals in the WTB section. But yet there's people bidding!

    I am a fair person, and I know everyone is trying to save money when they can... But there should be a cap for buyers, as everyone here on Seocheckout works hard and their time is valuable too. We have to provide for our families the same way as they do for theirs.

    You can always bid more than their max pay. Some people just don't understand the worth of quality.

    I have. One buddy was wanting to pay out a maximum $10 for a full 750 word article. I put in an $13 bid. He came back to me still wanting it done for $10 AND he wanted 2 FULL pages worth of writing my research. So the 750 words was completely out the window.

    I politely declined and told him I wasn't going to come down from my $13.

    As I have said before, I'm fair, I'm not unrealistic, and I see things outside the box... As for some of them, they are not realistic which makes it bad for business. Unfortunate really Do you get work through WTB?

    It's not fair to ask a writer to charge such cheap prices for quality writing services. And, on some forums where I have posted regularly, they say that even $45 for an original article is 'cheap', so maybe we are all charging too little here and attracting the wrong type of buyer.

    Some of my explanations on other threads are surrounded by this aspect. What are the other people's perspective on this that could justify this type of behavior. What is the Buyer's perspective? What are the reasons? Is it because they view some of us as being "desperate", and will do anything to get just a little bit of work?

    I like to be able to understand people's motives for doing certain things. I may not agree with the reason, but at least I could understand their perspective.

    I used to check the WTB when i was level one and could not create services lower than $10! So, now, i prefer to set my own services, usually, buyer don't offer so much as there are too much low bidding!

    I've been screening WTB section on the site and found out that most of the WTB gigs are not worthwhile to bid. How come a buyer is willing to pay $3 for 500 words? I wonder how he or she values a proficient service like writing.
    I am a freelance writer and I believe there are other thousands writers on Seocheckout agree that we are not slave who does the hard job for $3.


    Maybe some buyers figure it won't hurt to put the WTB up and if someone accepts for $3.00, then they win. And, sad as it might seem, there are some new sellers who are desperate enough to work for such a low amount, if only in hopes of earning good ratings which will allow them to move up and charge more or have more decent paying clients on the site.

    If you find something within your niche or expertise that pays well, this will be the ideal solution. But, if someone is trying to get you to work for next to nothing, then you will actually earn a lot less than if someone purchased one of your advertised services.
