Sales started to drop and now they've vanished! :O

I won't go into any specific details but I've been working online for quite a while.. I usually/mainly sell things through contacts & email conversations since it benefits me more than anything else around.. A couple of days ago.. (About 5 or 6 days ago) my sales dropped. Every now and then the sales drops and after a day or two, they start pouring in just like they did before. That's how business is.. That's how my business is.. The thing is, that they've stopped "completely".

I've got 3 sales during the last 5 days.. That's about 90% less than usual..
So, before doing any drastic changes I just wanted to ask:

Have anyone else experienced this?
Could it be because Christmas is "knocking on the door"?

I'm worried since 95% of my life depends on my income and without this, I'm screwed. Literally.

Are you talking about Seocheckout sales only?

Are you talking about Seocheckout sales only?

No. I talk about my whole business. Like I've stated above, I usually/mainly sell through contacts and by email conversations, but Seocheckout could of course be included within that. I'm just interested in an answer for my questions. If someone has experienced the same things. The drop of sales. It doesn't matter if it's seocheckout, Odesk or anything else.

What Type Of Services You Are Selling ??

This has nothing to do with my services. I know they are of high value and I know that my clients still needs it. I just thought that I should ask if anyone else has experienced this instead of asking my clients and look desperate.

So, the question still remains.. Have anyone else experienced this? Have anyone noticed a lack of orders?

Maybe your competitors lowered their prices? Adjust your prices according to the competition.

Yes, it can be possible that your competitors lowered their prices, at Seocheckout you provide social services and people providing social services in very low rates.

Thanks for your replies. I don't talk about Seocheckout services. I talk about my business in general.
I'm fully aware of competitors and such but I don't think it has anything to do with that. My "main" business is providing solutions for my long-term clients, so I can't imagine it would have anything to do with costs, services or competitors.

The shape of my body has evolved and I truly look like a question mark.. The only thing left to fully become a question mark is the dot below my feet..

I could change my whole thread and just ask all of you: "Is there anyone out there who's noticed a change in sales?" The last week or two.

If you get an average of 2 sales per day which suddenly becomes only 1 sale per day.. It's not too much of a deal but if you have an average of 10 or 20 sales per day, someone should have noticed if they started to get 1 or 2 orders per day instead.. That's what I'm talking about. Sales started to drop and now they

Are most of your clients in the US? If so, it is a holiday week (Thanksgiving). This could be why you see a reduction in sales this week.

Thanks Jordan. I can't say for sure, but that could be the reason or at least one reason. Much appreciated! Sales started to drop and now they

Naw brother, it ain't just you. You can lower your prices but it probably won't help. I am a real American living in lower class America, my rent is $1475 which is the cheapest place we could find., my power, water and internet run right at $900 a month I watch free tv, car payment is $1054 month plus $90 month for insurance and then there is gas at about $450 per month. I have 2 kids living at home and we spend about $900 month or more on groceries Cell phones cost us about $150 month. Anyway, we at at a minimum kicking out about 3k month and we live cheap. Electricity, gas, groceries and electricity are rising at about 2% - 5% per month, every month for the last 6 years and they ain't going down anytime soon. We can't afford insurance, but then we never really could.

Back before obomber got elected, even with the housing market crashing I was making about 60k a year on average for at least 10 years previous to that, we were doing fine, my wife didn't have to work and stayed home with the babies.

For the last 6 years I have averaged less than 20k a year, my wife went back to work, she is a school teacher and makes less than $1200 month after taxes.

We BARELY make the bills every month and things have been getting worse month after month.

As far as business goes, it's touch and go at best. I stick every damn iron in the fire that I can to drum up more work but mostly to no avail. Everyone I know personally that is skilled is either out of work or living just like me.

It's hard to live at a bare minimum and hear people say to drop your already low ball prices to compete but you have to keep in mind who and what you are competing with. It's even harder to point out the elephant in the room without being called a racist or a xenophobe but still, the elephant must be pointed out.

In America today, we have a national deficit of over 17 trillion dollars (that's what we owe to other countries) and we have an un-funded liability deficit of over 100 trillion dollars (that's what we owe in government and state pensions, medicare, medicaid and social security)
The FED (which is a privately owned consortium of world banks) is shelling out 87 billion of borrowed American tax dollars a month into the stock market, this has been going on for almost 6 years now.

Our Government kicks out new new regulation on business, taxes and healthcare every 1 point 7 minutes. They have also taken over health care which was already on it's ass and now it's totally screwed. People are losing their current health cares plans at an average of 6 million people per month. Whereas we had 3 - 13% of all Americans (depending on what government stat you see) before the socialists took over, we now have over 70% of all Americans with no heath care insurance, the rest will get the axe from their insurers within the next 6 months.

We have over 40 million illegal aliens here that are sucking off what's left of all of our social service programs, they send most of their money back home where it's worth a whole lot more and never buy YOUR services or spend that money here except only when totally necessary. They have taken over the construction industry, the fast food industry, and will soon take over the rest. Even though they are here illegally, no one will say boo to them because they scream racism every-time someone does. The industries they have taken over are then locked down so any real American who wants work won't be hired - especially by them.

We have more people in prison in the USA than in China and Russia combined, 87% of prison system here is privately owned and they are filling beds at an even more alarming rate. We are becoming a police state, the states are dumping more into law enforcement in the last 6 years than they have spent on law enforcement in the last 100 years. We have a cop car on every corner just raping the tax payers while the socialists who are spending that money call them heroes.

All of our social service programs have been designed to either break up the family or break the family - generally both.

And if all that don't sound bad enough; for those of you that have resorted to making a living online are being raped as well. 90% of your competition is foreign, mostly from India and Pakistan. And they can live like kings on $10 a day - they'll say that's lie, but I have been to both countries and I assure you it is woefully true. They generally put out a lessor quality of service and again call you a racist when you complain about them. They are responsible for about 95% of all the spam and scam on the net but are never turned away from anywhere they occupy and eventually take over.

You cannot compete with them here or anywhere else online, except maybe ebay and amazon, and the only reason those two are excluded is because they can't fake as to where they are from - and you can easily filter out all OTA (other than american) sellers.

You could even take this site for example, started by a French National who prefers to live in America but is very much prejudiced against Americans - I use to work for one of his sites and I can tell you, he ain't in your corner, he just likes living in it. Now the staff here will probably balk at that and say " Not true - I'm an American!" but will never offer up any proof.

Go ahead, lower your prices though if you think it will help - it won't, especially in the log run. What's worse is, if it wasn't for the money Americans spend here and everywhere else online they wouldn't have any business so it kinda strikes me funny that they would absolutely bite the hand OFF that feeds them.

While these people point a finger at you and your prices don't forget - they are secretly laughing their asses off at you, they just don't understand that when we are done... they are done.

that's my nickels worth

Do you accept Payza from your clients? If so, that could be one reason sales are dropping, especially if clients are paying via Payza. They might not be able to access funds in account if in the states.
