New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation

Hello Clerks Nation,
We have planned to get two new Levels out for our Clerks Network that will be Level 4 and Level 5. The main reason for this update is to make the categorization of the sellers more appropriate and comfortable buyers too.
Till now there were only Level 1-3 and Level X.
Now it will be Level 1-5 and Level X. Level X will be considered as Level 6.

So we need your suggestions what you think about this update and now, what criteria should we have for the Level Selection.

Your feedback is welcomed!!

What's the requirements for level 1-3 and X today?
The FAQ criteria got removed so it's just "x-amount" of complete orders and "x-%" of positive feedbacks to level up or am I wrong?

The first feeling I get, is that it will look "messed up" with so many different user levels, even tough I can see the benefits from it. Wouldn't it be easier/better to re-instate the FAQ criteria and/or add other criterias for user level 1-3 +X, instead of adding 2 new levels? ( just my first thought which I might change within a couple of minutes New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation )

Btw. Cool to see a new Staff member! ( I think you're new? New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation )

Hard to suggest anything without making some of the sellers angry, but here we go:
  • A number of positive feedbacks in a row without any negative ones.
  • A number of $ of sold services. Prices determine the value of services in my opinion (there are exceptions of course).

I personally don't see any benefit in adding more Levels.

Currently the User Levels really only effect Sellers directly with the actual benefits offered and more of those are simply not needed, Sellers can do plenty with the current benefits of each Level.

As for Levels on the buyer side they're hardly seen now and could not hold a lot of value. The Level of a user only shows near their avatar on service pages and profile pages in the form of small text, so unless a buyer happens to already know of the Level system they would likely miss it altogether.

Hey Hitmeasap,
Your point is true about the removal of FAQ criteria from levelling up. But just because getting level up, users were posting senseless answers in the FAQ section. Same type of answers were repeated with different words. That does not make any sense. But now, atleast proper answers are given.
And as per what you said, it is just completing x no's of orders and x% positive rating, is easy to get. So the two new levels will have more scope. Everybody wants to be top rated so they will do more to get on higher levels.

So we will look to make changes in Level 1-3 also, and Level 4 & 5 may have some different criteria.

Keep posting your suggestions..

Thanks,
Akshat

Thanks for the answer.
In that case, I'd suggest something like this:

Level 1. (All new users.)
Level 2. (10 completed sales with at least 90% positive ratings.)
Level 3. (50 completed sales with at least 90% positive ratings. And being a member for at least 30 days.)
Level 4. (100 Completed sales with at least 90% positive ratings. And being a member for not loss then 90 days.)
Level 5. (250 Completed sales with at least 90% positive ratings. And being a member for not less than 90 days.)
Level X (6). (Manually selected by the staff of seocheckout. Must be a Level 3 seller to be eligible the promote to X.)

With that said, I understand exactly what you mean by the FAQ, and I think you did the right thing to remove it from the criteria, but I'd still add something more for Level 4 and 5. Level 1-3 should be something similar to what I've stated above. At least in my opinion. Perhaps X-amount of positive feedbacks too, instead of just X-%? Level 4, 100 completed sales, a minimum of 90% positive ratings and 50 positive feedbacks? (Which is 50% of all the completed sales.) Might be a good option to make those changes to Level 5 too? (125 positive feedbacks, 90% rating)

Well, that's just something I'd suggest. I've noticed myself that buyers often just purchase and leave you without giving you feedback, which would make the seller work "a little bit extra" to get the X-amount of necessary feedbacks too. 50% of the completed sales wouldn't be too hard to get feedbacks for but it should involve "going the extra mile" for sellers to achieve it.

Hey!
Thanks for the reply.
That's a nice idea of setting minimum positive feedback.
I was also thinking to make criteria for recommendations as they worth a lot. A seller will get recommendation only if he has done extra ordinary work and probably a buyer give recommendation after seeing the workmof seller 2 or more times. So we can make recommendation criteria for being Level 5 and for Level 4, minimum positive feedback option is good.

Thanks!
Akshat

I think to earn the new higher levels members should try and sell services on the other Clerks websites not just seocheckout. I'm also going to have to make extra functions for my dynamic loading signature banner ^.^ more work

That sounds like a great idea. Making recommendations a requirement to level up. That will make serious sellers work even harder to get the necessary recommendations. You nailed it with that suggestion. ;)

Sounds cool. Will this affect the current sellers to? I mean, will current sellers be back at level 1,2 and 3 etc. if they don't meet the new requirements? (if you make such changes that is.)

Good question, but what I would do is simply add another Level after #3 (i.e.: Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and X) - This is the beauty of Level X. Since it's a Letter, and not a Number. It can stand for ANY number you want (which is why it's commonly used in Algebra to determine an unknown or unseen numeric value).
This allows room to expand and add many more levels in the Future. You never know, we may have 20 or 30+ Levels one day. (heck, sites I've seen have like 50+)

The only thing that needs to be known, is that "X" = the highest Level.

I think limiting the service bumping for lower levels would be good. The higher the level you are, the more often you can use the bump feature on your services. Bump amounts being individual to each gig too. New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation

Since requirements run on a check every 20 minutes all sellers will be effected by any changes every 20 minutes. This is mostly an assumption, not confirmed but it would make the most sense since it's more levels being added and additional requirements and not actually a change in how it works.

I believe that this only sounds good in theory. The more benefits like that for higher levels whilst lower remain restricted it makes it harder and harder for Level 1 users to level up/get sales. I definitely want to bump more than only 5 per day and as a Level X I would likely get the most out of a feature like this but from an unbias view I don't believe it to be fair on new users. Just my opinion though.

I see what you mean. New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation It was just a thought I had due to another thread on here I was reading about when you bump a service, about minute or something later it has already been pushed away down due to the amount of people bumping their services, in my opinion.. Everyone being able to bump so much is actually ruining the bump feature itself, its becoming a pointless thing to do because it doesn't really get the service much attention anymore, before things got so active services used to stay at the top for longer and bumping them actually brought some sales in, but now as I say, bumping almost has no effect anymore because everyone else is bumping so much. New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation Just thought limiting it through the user levels would help things a bit. New Level Update coming to Clerks Nation
