Removing categories won't stop spam, as the spammers will just post in another category. There was a bad spammer yesterday who posted crap in several categories. I reported it and @NaturalWriter got rid of it.

They probably should have at least 1 more active mod though, as there is rarely ever a mod online when I look around here.

We do the best we can. It wouldn't hurt to have one or two more, but that has to be done by admin. I also notice there are members who comment on the spam without reporting it. This shouldn't be happening. If you are commenting on spam, the you can obviously report it! We don't get reports, then it may not get noticed.

I have been busy lately, and I come in and out quickly. If there is nothing reported, then I assume all is OK for the moment. We all have to work together and learn how to click the report button.

Yeah, current moderators doing very good job! We know that you guys can't be here 24/7, that's why i mention someone from different time zone... But yes, reporting helps anyway.

@farahkhan has joined our staff as moderator and she is doing a very good job with moderating duties.

We are currently cleaning up many of the threads which had been over run with one and two word spam posts. This will take time. And, we thank you for your patience as we get this matter resolved.

Some forum discussions/responses may be deleted, moved, merged or locked, depending upon the situation. For instance, where a discussion has gone off topic or the OP is found to be a copy/paste from another site or if the post or discussion in some way violates forum rules.

Please report any spam in any form that you see as it helps us do our jobs better.

Staff members are now working very efficiently on forum clean-up and in past 72 hours we have gone through 5000-6000 posts and more than 600 active profiles and deleted spam over 400 and cleaned up many profiles containing spam links & many useless threads are moved to trash. Many resolved FAQs has been locked now and moved to resolved/archived to avoid spamming and promoting all member to post on newer threads where useful instead of old ones where discussions and problems are already solved . We are moving very fast on this and we assure you guys you will see our forum cleaned up very soon.
We are trying our best to give as much time as possible so that every member will get staff support round the clock

Thank you so much to all of you who have reported to spam , I really appreciate all of you who are contributing in this clean up mission ,As we are all here this is our home forum and we have to keep this in a good shape . We all are a part of this great forum.

We are currently going through the Service Review section to delete threads that don't have a seller link. Older reviews are being locked as they don't require any further comment.

Agree. Removing categories is not the solution. And it will also spoil this wonderful forum.

Some less active subforums are being merged or deleted as they never or rarely receive posts.

I think a poll should be conducted in this regard. If more buyers and sellers think that these less active subforums should be deleted or merged then only the admins should go for this decision.

In a way, the Seocheckout community has already voted on this decision.

There are no extra benefits to being a mod. They do it because they want to help clean up the community for everyone.
