Is it possible to limit the number of orders?

I would like to know if it is possible to limit the number of orders that can be made on specific service?

If I will create a service that takes few days to complete and in the meantime I will get more orders from different buyers sometimes I won't be able to handle all these orders at the same time and that will cause late delivery.

That is why I would like to know if I can for example set maximum of 10 active orders per service so when 10 orders are in progress order button would be disabled.

I know that it can be done manually by using "suspend service" option but is there any different way for doing that?

At one time, they were discussing the idea of a 'limited quantity' type feature, but I have not heard anything about it since. It might be useful to have this as an option on a service so that you could specify how many of that gig you would be willing to sell at any one time. It would keep a seller from accepting more work than they are capable of doing.

Exactly, that would be a really useful option. Is there any place where I can suggest this feature?

When you get sufficient orders you can just goto service edit page and mark your service as sold out it will still show up in search but no one will be able to order it when you select suspend service it wont show up in searching so marking out sold is a better option as many buyers might contact you in messages to provide that services and you can open slots manually for them on service Is it possible to limit the number of orders?

Let me know if you need help with anything else .

That's a really good idea actually, especially useful for a seller who is perpetually busy with customers. This would offer the option to do work on demand (so to speak), rather than always be at the mercy of a customer who might add one more sale to your work load that you might or might not be able to handle.

I would suggest though, that you mention on your sales page that potential buyers can message you if they want you to do a job.

Yes mentioning on your sales page will also help. For example you can limit 10 orders per day and when you got 6 orders during the day, you can update the sales page saying 4 units left. Something like this.

Unfortunately that will not work when someone will decide to order many times in short period of time.
