Silo structuring an Ecommerce site and does Google see the link in the nav bar?

So I understand how to properly silo a blog or site where you use a menu and navbar. My site is setup so that you have categories on the left and in the navbar you have "Cool ______ Shop" as "Home" and a "Contact Us" tab. When you arrive to the site you are already at the store. No welcome page or anything like that.

Now my first question is, Does Google spiders link back to the home page via the nav menu to keep the link juice flowing? Or do I need a link somewhere on the product page?

In that case should I link every product to the "Home" page?

Should I only link products that are gaining the most backlinks to the front page?

Please answer if you understand how to properly silo a site. As I said before, I know how to silo but for an ecommerce site, its setup a little different.

I guess ultimately, should I make it to where my navbar contains my categories? The niche is sorta broad so the categories dont really follow each other. THe categories in the niche are like "Geeky" "Home" "Kitchen" "Pets" "Gifts" "Creative" "Funny". The producst really just list under those categories. There is not really an availability to make sub categories because the products are extremely random and cant really be sub-categorized.

Thanks in advance!
