How do you motivate members to move their discussions to the more relevant niche areas so that you get good content there? As leader of the forum, you should start as many niche discussions as possible and openly encourage everyone to respond. I know of a forum where some members only post in the chat box. It looks like those guys have nothing to do all day and are looking for someone to talk with. They don’t post on the boards but only in the chat box from time to time. There was a time that I posted a greeting in the chat box and on the next day that I logged in, I saw my name being greeted there. I did not bother to reply because for me, that is just a waste of time and I don’t even have the interest to chat with them.I know of a forum where some members only post in the chat box.
