Maybe that's a tiny exaggeration but over the years, I've owned numerous tester forums and they were all practice for the real thing. And, many were started on a whim, or impulse. And, of course they didn't last. But to me, that's OK as I value every tiny forum that I owned or experimented with and feel like my best forum ownership days are actually ahead of me. At least ten times so far! :P

Rushing in opening a forum means you are not fully prepared. More likely, you will just fail in the first week or month of operation for you may not have the right plans for the growth of your forum. My idea in launching a forum is when you are fully done with the design and marketing. With a good number of supporters ready to register and an error-free design, you can go ahead.
