Behavior not covered in your current rules?

What if a staff or forum member does something that you don't like or is harmful to your forum or members but it's not specifically against your current rules? How can you prepare for this contingency?

I guess you could just talk to them about it and say that you do not like the behavior and have them stop or ask them to at least. I would put a clause in the rules that says that the decision of the admin is the final say.

The policy or rules and regulation of a forum is a work in progress. I know that there is a template that you can use but it’s just a draft and not exactly fitted to your needs. When you experience something that needs to be included in the rules then your only choice is to amend the rules. And as long as you publicize the amendments, I don’t see any complications if you amend your rules from time to time. And posting the amendments can solicit feedback and reaction from the community members so you will have a grasp of the public opinion on the validity of the new rules.
