This is a project for a knockout search to find out if your proposed trademark has any conflicts in the U.S. federal trademark database before you file a new U.S. trademark application for registration.
The search results include similar matches inthe USPTO trademark database and all US State trademark databases with some additional checks of common law databased (unregistered potential conflicting uses.) You can review these reports forany potential conflicts before you spend money on the USPTO filing fees. Also available for an additional costare other trademark searches covering additional territories / countries. I can get a new application filed for you within the day if you have all your information ready.
For background, I am a U.S. licensed patent and trademark attorney based in San Diego, California, with over 25 years of experience helping clients protect their brands and inventions. Many of my projects are based on a fixed fee basis.
My fixed fee for preparing a typical U.S. trademark application for registration of a word or a logo mark in one class is $300.
The USPTO filing fee is normally $850 per class of goods or services and this fee is paid directly to the USPTO upon filing and is not included in my bid. In some limited cases, the filing fee per class is $850. The USPTO may charge additional fees depending on the content of the application, for example if you have a large number of product types you want to include in the application.
After filing, as a U.S. licensed attorney, I will communicatewith the USPTO Examiner on your behalf should any issues come up with your application. Any additional work after the filing of the application (including reviewing and responding to office actionsand communications) isbilled separately based on time. Manyoffice action (rejection) responses can be prepared and filed for a fixed fee
but those fees will vary depending on the type of rejection. In some cases, a single application canbe filed for registrations in one or more other countries. I also work with foreign counsel to obtain trademark rights directly in other countries. The
time frame is typically 8-9 months from filing to registration if there are no
issues that would delay the application.
Once the trademark application is filed, you can also apply to the Amazon Brand Registry about one or two days after your filing date. Once Amazon processes your request, they will send me a verification code which I will forward to you
so you can enroll in the registry program.
