How To Decrease Response Time?

Response time often plays a major role when buyers decides to hire you or not. A seller with less response time is often hired before others having longer response time. It's a fact and it's quite logical. Here you will learn why and how to decrease your response time.

How To Decrease Response Time?

Would you rather purchase a service from someone with a 5 hour response time or would you choose the seller with a response time of 10 days? - That's an easy decision, do you agree?

How to decrease your response time:
As you can read here, Response time is calculated by the amount of time it takes you (as a seller) to respond to any comment or update to an order for the last 30 days. This calculation does not include your inbox, only the messages within orders.

With that being said, if you reply QUICKLY to your clients orders and their replies within the order page, your response time will decrease. If you deliver your work late and update your order page late, your response time will increase.

Also note, that response time is based on the last 30 days, so you'll not be able to decrease a high response time by delivering just one or two orders quickly. You'll have to continue to keep up with the quick responses during several days to see any major impact on your response time.

Good point. I noticed that many sellers have hight response time even if they deliver finished work before deadline and only reason is that they waiting for work to be finished then start communicating with customer, while it can be reduced very much if they respond as soon as they see order in place, with simple message like "Thanks for your order, i will start it soon"...

Exactly! I've noticed that many social media sellers had an average response time of 3-5 days. My thoughts on this is that they provide services for $3 or $4 and have somewhere between 25 and 100 orders in queue, and because of that they don't "have enough time" to respond to each and every order they get, so they make an active choice of delivering the services as fast as they can and just mark them as being delivered without any previous response on the order page.. Which increases their response time. It's a bit sad but everyone should be aware of the importance of the response time and if they make such decisions, then that's entirely up to them.

I have made it clear several times that I am really happy with my experience on seocheckout, and I really mean that. However there is this response time issue that I just cannot understand. I log in daily, and stay here several hours a day. I even get the emails on my mobile and tablet when I am not in front of my computer. So I am literally always in touch with what is happening, when I get orders or messages. I make it a point to reply immediately, or within an hour at most. I also stick to deadlines on orders, and whenever I feel that I cannot complete an order in time (which is rare or due to some emergency) I ask for an extension. Whenever I get an order I make it a point to reply so as to let the buyer know that I have seen the order and will see to it. Yet, despite all this, my response time has never been in hours, as I check regularly. It used to be 2 days, and lately it has always been 1 day. I really do not know what might be wrong as I feel I am being as efficient and responsive as can be.

I hear you and I understand that this must be very frustrating. When I tried to decrease my response time I did all that too, until I made one thing a bit different compared to what I did before. Nowadays, I always make sure that I have the last response on my order pages, no matter how many times my clients updates it, I'll go back and reply once again. You could even state that in the order page so your client understand that you'll deliver the work and update them as soon as you're done with the work and that they won't need to make any new replies in case they don't have any questions during the time you're handling their order. I have experienced buyers who replies back each time I made an reply onto the order page with just a useless "How To Decrease Response Time?" or whatever, and that is annoying, as it will affect your response time.

Response time very important to make more sale. Response low means you are very active to response to your buyer under order section. And if your response time high, buyer may discourage to purchase service from you. So, response time very important.
I was not very aware about response time. Rather I was concentrating to deliver order with timely, I mean within deadline. And my response time was so high even was 11 days. But now I understand and I give impotency of response time. and I try to response to buyer several ways. Once I get order, then I just leave a short message like thanks for purchasing service. And I always search unread message by manage sales section. And try to response as quickly as possible.
