    Start Fresh - Or revive an old site?

    Hey guys.

    So about 6 months ago my site was #1-#3 for 10 mid competition keywords.
    It was doing well.

    Then google's famous updates came along and screwed it all up - I'm sure many of you can relate. I can't even find my site in the top 100 search results - although it does still show up #1 for the main keywords of the site.

    I want to get back into the same niche as it was quite profitable. So my question now is does it make sense using the same site or should I just start fresh?

    I used a lot of spammy backlinks, and crap content the first time around.

    Thoughts?

    There is no  need to start fresh or revive an old site if you have not done something wrong.and yes if you spammed then you need to start fresh .
