Who cares about Bing? Anyone? Bueller?

Does anyone get a majority or even a worthwhile share of their traffic from Bing? Enough to actually invest resources into optimizing for? I really want to know if I should just ignore Bing and focus on google.

Hello,

You should always maintain your SEO in the top search engines. Bing is promoting, there getting thousands of new searches a month because of their "Bing it On" challenge. Try to get in with the hype, and post something about it on your website, and see just how much traffic bing has...

Bing currently is ranked #16, Google is 1/2. [FB and Google are competing, but of course Google will always win]

Kind Regards,
Everett

I don't know much about the technical aspects of Bing vs Google. But my true experience with Bing is really awesome. I use Bing Ads regularly and make profits from my investment. Moreover, Being allows affiliate url as the destination url which is a big advantage for affiliate income without further investment on purchasing domains for promoting affiliate programs. So I won't suggest you to leave Bing.

I wonder why you have to single out Bing for the source of traffic for your website. If you do SEO work on your website for the purpose of getting traffic from search engines then that SEO work will apply to all search engines and not only for Google, Yahoo and Bing. It also includes the other search engines like Ask and Duckduckgo.

I think that Bing has a long way to go. However one thing I know about the online world is that things can change in a flash. Today Google is on top, tomorrow you just never know. I think you should still bother with bing. Your work may pay off in future. At some point in time I think that Bing will pick up and maybe be greater then Google in future. You may suddenly have this rush of traffic coming to you.
