yes, it will work like this:
if your site has no Rank and google isn't showing your site in the search result....
and then you post your website URLon google plus, and google+ site has authority, then that google+ page (where you post your website link) will shown in Google search result in a few days..
and then you can get traffic and also get some authority and high Rank...
