HOW MUCH WOULD CONVINCE YOU TO QUIT YOUR JOB?

A lot of online freelancers are only doing it part-time in addition to their full-time jobs. It is the dream of many to quit their full-time jobs and concentrate on freelancing and to this end, many have set earning goals that when achieved, will convince them to quit. How much would you have earned from your freelancing jobs that would convince you to quit your full-time job?

Once I begin to make $300 steadily every month, I will quit my full-time job and focus all my attention to growing my online job profile and portfolio. $300 isn't much to some people but for me it will go a long way once converted to my local currency. I'll also know that devoting more time to it would mean my income would increase even more.

Well, pegging it at $300 monthly earning as a freelancer writer doesn't seem much in my opinion but unless of course you have lesser responsibilities to take care of, then the $300 pay monthly as a freelancer would be enough to take care of all your needs.

What?$300 is so lttle even when converted to your local currency.Skilled freelancers earn more than this daily.It could do for a start but try to aim higher, you might end up surprising yourself.

Lol, I know it is small. I didn't say I'll be contended with it. I said it would convince me to quit my job and focus all my attention on my freelancing so I could increase my payout. It would convince me that freelancing is worth it and it pays and with more effort, I would earn more.

I think this is still small for me even if I convert this to my local currency this should be about 70k even with the current rate and this might not make quit his or her day job. Making good money like at least $750 monthly should suffice.

There is a lot of people who do primarily freelancing to earn a living, I think that it's become less common having a full-time job when you dedicate to freelancing. If you're into freelancing you have to dedicate a lot of time to it, otherwise, it won't deliver any results. I'd say people keep a 9 to 5 job while they're still learning how to freelance, once they feel confident enough, they quit their job and start freelancing full time.

Well, in my opinion because of how important an extra money is in the world today, I wouldn't be open to quitting my current job no matter how much money I earn on.

As long as the pay which I'm getting from my job is still very lucrative, I'm still definitely going to stick with it and never quit.

Freelancing will always be of great help especially in earning extra money to at least lessen our daily expenses. I studied and graduated with a degree, got a full time job that's related to my course and I currently enjoy my full time job, really. This is the same as how happy I am with my freelancing jobs.
I wouldn't be convinced to quit my job though. Even if the freelancing job's way higher than what I can earn from my full time work. It will always be practical to me to be doing the two jobs since I get to earn more money.

I agree with you. Both works offers different experience. Plus, it's always an advantage to have two sources of income. Both shared happiness and stability. It's good to grab decent opportunities as long as we have the ability and capacity of fulfilling it.

I think if I will be earning at least 300 dollars on my freelancing sites then I might consider quitting with my offline job. I was dreaming to have such an earnings every month on my freelancing sites but then it is very tough and impossible for now since most of the time I am earning less from it. I like working online because it is very convenient and very flexible because you can do a lot of things at the convenience of our home that is why I am trying to work hard online to achieve that dream earnings.

I think that the money would be a thing that could convince me to quit my full time job. I earn maybe 50 dollars per month from freelancing, which is simply not enough, you know. So, if income became bigger and steadier, I would quit my full time job.

Yes, it's the same with me too. Even with how much you love your current job, but it doesn't help you pay your bills and support your daily living, then it's time to leave. We have to be practical nowadays.

Well I won't bother to quit my day time job in favor of freelance work regardless of earnings. Both work offer different experience. There are no assurance of stability. We all know that were not always contented of our earnings no matter how big or sustainable it is. I don't want to choose between the two unless my day job is stressing me. I always give importance to my work and I valued it.

Well, if the job pays well and is worth the time that I spend, then, I wouldn't hesitate and continue on doing it. But, if the atmosphere isn't good and the clients treat you like hell, then, I would be sure to leave my job.

One can actually quit his job if he finds out that this field is way better than his current job. If he can do higher levels of freelancing jobs that offers a better payment. The only problem that I can see in this field is that some sites are unpredictable. There are times that they can give you a better offer but there are times that they don't. Another thing, freelancing is good but they don't give you the benefits that you have in your current job.

I'm doing Freelance Work full-time now and for this December I actually made $278.64 YaY!!! When converted to Philippine Peso that's x 52.50 but with PayPal to local processor, the exchange rate is at 51.25 x 178.64 = PHP 9,155. The minimum wage here is PHP 550 or about $15 a day.

I would quit if I'm earning more than my regular day job doing freelancing and if I have enough savings that can sustain my families lifestyle for the next 5 years. This is to make sure that our daily needs will not be in jeopardy when there's no project for certain days or months. I think if I have savings, I can venture out to other sources of income when freelancing is not doing fine. Actually, even I would not do freelancing, quitting my job at the age of 40-45 is my goal.

Well, I would quit my job if my part-time job earns more than my regular job. But if the comfort I'm having in my regular job is much prettier than the part-time then I would not leave. I just want to enjoy life with my family and friends, I really don't need that much money because my mom and dad still works, I just want the thrill in earning my own money and spend it on things that I like. Quitting on my regular job depends if I would be needing great amount of money.

As a business guy that owns multiple businesses, I can say you don't need to think about when is the right time to quit your job. You will know without a doubt when to quit your job. What I mean by this is, when you start looking at your job as getting in the way of you making money because it is taking away too much of your time from your business and it doesn't pay to actually show up to your job then this is the time. Again, you'll know and it will be very clear.

I'll run for a $15,000 per month before I go ahead and quit my job. I believe it's gonna be worth my while to give up a stable job if I get to have that much of earning per month. I know it's not that easy to get as much as that but if I gonna have to quit my job it needs to be worth the job I gave up.

I don't always do freelancing so I probably won't quit my regular job because I hate not doing anything but $1500 per month maybe that's good enough for me to quit my job. Don't know if that's too much but it is what it is.

I have student loans to pay off, so I would need to be earning around $120,000 a year for me to fully give up my full-time job and make freelancing my only career. That seems unlikely for the moment, given the limited nature of freelancing and how much money I would need. Right now, I live in a less expensive country, but I will soom be returning home to the United States where it's much more expensive and anything below the aforementioned amount would negatively affect my quality of life and my ability to afford my bills.

At least $450 I guess I'm good. Of course I want to make sure that we have the means to pay all our monthly bills before deciding anything. I'll need to save up for school enrollment for the next year and also to pay a bit of our debts. Oh life, why don't you just make it rain down money on everyone so we could at least get some rest from stress! Anyway, yeah that'll be the rate I'll go with to focus on freelancing.

Simple. If I would get a higher income (by the hour) from a freelance job than my current job. Naturally I am always looking for work which will give me more income (compared to the time spent working), so I'll always choose what gives me more.

The problem I'm having with freelancing is that it isn't stable.if the stability rate was high then one could think of quitting.i prefer to quit for my business than quitting to work online. I still prefer to have online jobs as extra way of making money.

Honestly, I doubt that I'd quit my full-time job since it pays well as long as you know what to avoid and do good work. Writing and content creation is more of a passion of mine, and though I've found it increasingly hard to keep up my freelancing alongside my practice.

If I can somehow make a steady $750 per day net of taxes, though, I'd consider it.

It would have to be a sufficient amount of income. Right now by freelancing I manage to save up an extra $1500 USD per year, which is pretty nice from where I'm from. On a regular basis, I'd have to make 15-20$ daily in order to quit my job.

For me, I wouldn't want to quit my job in exchange for freelancing. I studied hard and shed.blood and tears to get my degree because I am passionate about it. I prefer freelancing work to be a part time extra income, rather than my main job because looking for clients can be tiring. I prefer a stable job rather than freelancing. So nope, I wouldn't choose one over the other, I prefer to do both if possible.

I’ve heard too many stories about employees leaving their current job for another that is offering a higher salary. And as
much as money is important and it’s hard to ignore the urge to accept a higher salary, I think it’s still imperative that an employee thinks about this important decision many times over. Because as is already been proven many times before, money is not always the sole determining factor when deciding to quit or not. Who knows maybe just a simple conversation with your current boss is all you need to get that pay raise that you desire.
