I can agree that the popularity of online shopping has increased and this is highly done by the use of smartphones. I however have zero experience in that sector as i think that it is related to affiliate and network marketing in the sense that people influence others to buy certain products or visit certain locations.

Maybe because it is a lot more convenient to us doing online shopping especially to those are always busy or to those have less time going to mall. It is preferable to them to just use their smartphone and some online shopping, it cost less time and also avoid traffic.

Oddly enough you're right. A lot more people use a Smartphone more often rather than a PC. I'm quite surprised, as PC was #1 always. More reliable and suitable. I guess times change.

Personally I can't understand that. I just don't feel comfortable using a Smartphone for all those needs. I feel a lot more safe and less disorientated while on a PC.
Just to make it clear, I'm 22. So I'm pretty much still this generation of 90's kids.

It's a dream worth dreaming because although it sounds good. Having a decentralized currency or a single currency has a lot of disadvantages also. It's advantageous to first world economies but for the third world countries, I don't think that it would benefit them.

Mobile SEO has been around for quite some time. As have mobile ads for websites. However, I personally don't use my phone unless it's for email, social media or browsing while I'm 'outside' or maybe in bed. I use my home PC mostly when I'm at home. That way my phone battery can stay charged and I'll ultimately get better mileage out of my mobile device than most people.

@luv2xacosta Yes that is really true and that would be one of the disadvantages of having some smartphones because it teach us to be lazy at some time which prevent us from doing things that supposedly we must do just like on shopping offline to buy our favorite items. Shopping offline can help us to check the reliability and quality of the items that we want to buy that are very hard to deal with when we go shopping online. It really have some advantages and disadvantages and it would now depend on us on how we will used it properly.

That's because most android devices are cheaper compared to buying let's say a PC or a laptop. People get more use out of a handheld device that's why they opt to investing on one. Also, using a mobile phone is more convenient for everyone specially since they can check out all those sites and even shop on the go.

I've got a question.

Is mobile SEO any different from SEO for sites that people visit when they use their PCs?

There was a time when webmasters would have two sites. People could either visit the mobile site or the desktop version of the site depending on the device they were using to access the net. A lot has changed since then with the advent of "responsive sites."

So does it mean that for you to rank higher in search if someone is using a mobile device, there's some different kind of SEO?

I'm not an expert in SEO but according to the article that I've read, there's a difference between SEO for PC/Laptop and Mobile. Some of these are the length of the title of your post, how you display your content, share buttons, and using pop-ups. These are just some of the things that you have to look into in mobile SEO to prevent your rank from suffering in search engines. There are online tools that you can use to check if your website is optimized for mobile users and to know what should be fixed in your website.

It's good to learn that there are online tools which can be used to find out whether your site is optimized for mobile users. That should make the whole process easier because you could do SEO for Laptop/PC, use the tools to find out what needs to be done so you get SEO for mobile devices right and at the end of it, kill two birds with one stone.

Mobile phone is more convenient to carry anywhere you go. Mobile devices have revolutionized people's lives and continuously impacting the world in terms of communication, leisure, working, and buying routine. People are always on the go and would carry their mobile phones wherever they wanted, not only for calling or sending messages, but for capturing pictures or videos, getting updates on their social media accounts, and search for what's the latest trends in technology, news, fashions, and many other stuffs. With the ease and convenience that mobile devices provide, people turned to searching the internet using their cellphones rather than in PC/Laptop. Mobile devices became a crucial tool used in everyday life from businessmen to grade school children.

Websites have also change the way it presents information to the users searching the internet. Before, a company's website used to have desktop version and mobile version in order to cater the user whichever device it uses. But with the evolution of the technologies used in developing websites, both mobile and Desktop/PC can access the same URL and contents. According to the article that I've read in mobile SEO, search engines nowadays render information to users in mobile first and then to desktop format. That's why it is necessary that your website is optimized for mobile devices so as to render it properly on mobile and will not just present it as a mini version of your website in a browser. The visitor will leave immediately from your website if the contents are hard to read because of small text no matter how great your content is. Website should be tested for both desktop and mobile devices to make sure that contents are rendered properly for better ranking in search engines.

The thing with PCs and laptops is that you need time to set them up before you are able to make a search or something unlike smartphones which is always turned on and readily available almost anytime of the day. We can access it anywhere because it is small and takes a very little time to set up. This leads for us, customers, businessmen and the like to use smartphones over PCs and laptops when making/getting online services. Not to mention that the mobile version was optimized for easier access compared to desktop version when it comes to simplicity.

Yes true. It is more convenient and less hassle than the traditional way. Smartphones are getting bigger and broader years will pass. I just can't imagine how it boomed that way since we started from a simple technology and now it becoming automated and high. There are might be advantages but there also disadvantages having these technologies we have now. I can see smartphones very helpful though. From entertainment to communication, it really gives us benefits.

Do you need to employ different SEO strategies if you are doing mobile SEO, this will be interesting to find out. Also do you get more clients because you offer mobile SEO services? I guess mobile browser users have more intention than the users of computer browsers in terms of searching. Computer browsers usually search for information just to check but mobile users do the search because they need something. However I cannot rely on my opinion only because that is just plain observation and has no statistics to back it up. But I believe that mobile browsers are now constituting the majority of internet users.

Mobile SEO is indeed becoming a lot more popular, as a growing number of individuals are accessing the Internet through smartphones. It isn't too different from traditional SEO, as all you need to do is to target keywords and phrases that are more likely to be used on search engines by mobile users, as well as ensure that your website can easily be accessed by users on mobile devices.
