What's China's biggest social media platform?

What can you tell me about the number one social media platform in China and is it a copycat of Facebook as some people are saying?  Also Why did China ban Facebook anyway?

They have their own Social media like facebook, I just don't know the exact name of it. And they are also using Wechat as their mode of communications.

Their own social media is Sina Weibo and it's dedicated to Chinese users. It's actually one of the most if not the most used social media platforms in the world. And yes, their mode of communication is WeChat and they also use it for other services like paying goods and they do it by connecting their bank accounts to WeChat.

I think the government restricts and controls the internet content of foreign companies which must be in the base level only in China since its the accordance to their law and regulations. What I have read, it's because of the continuation of the riot in the Social media Beijing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That is also what I have heard about China. Theyhave been labeled as the slepping giant because of its economical independence and they have a very powerful resource: their manpower. They said once the sleeping giant is awoken, it can move the world. China has been in isolation with the world because of some of their idealism and beliefs. One way of isolating themselves is banning social media from the Western countries. They have their own social media callwd Weibo. That is their own version of social media. It is also nice too but it has strong censorship and limitations.

Not only China is banning some social media in the world. I was in Dubai before and skype is banned there. The reason they did that is that their own Telecommunication company is suffering like customers are decreasing because people are being dependent to free calls and videos of skype.

Thanks for your information. I thought that only China is banning social media. I hope that those countries will give freedom to their people. Its liberating when you are able to express yourself through social media. Its a great feeling to be free.

China is the biggest population in the world. Their population is in billions. They could have overtaken the social media and everything if their government never controls them.

The population of China is in billions. If they are active in social media, they will be dominating also because of their population. Its good that their government controls them.

We were in Beijing 2 years ago and we were caught flat-footed because we always depend on the internet for communication. Facebook messenger is the usual means. It was shocking to know that Google and Facebook are banned in China. The government looks strict when it comes to censorship. Weibo is the biggest social media platform in China and maybe it has a billion users considering the huge population of China.

This is interesting to know. I think that they are afraid that the people will have more knowledge of the truth. The truth will set people free. Knowledge is freedom. Their leaders wanted to control them. They restrict them to have knowledge.

We are thankful in our country that we have freedom. Freedom is one of the greatest gift that one can receive in life. I pray that for China and other countries who were deprived of freedom of expression, religion, etc.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

China is a communist state so basically they are really strict when it comes to laws and rules of the government and its true that they control people as they restrict their knowledge in some areas. Yeah, we must be thankful that we still in democratic state. Hopefully our president will not change the type of government we have now.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jeffreyjose48
I agree with you. China is a communist state. They are very strict in implementing their rules and regulations. They control people especially their knowledge and other areas. Here in the Philippines were thankful of our freedom. We have freedom of speech, religion, etc.

Our president wants us to be changed into federalism. I think we will still be a democratic country. He just want to decentralize the power and finances. He wants to spur development in the countryside not just in Manila.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Yes, I heard the news that he wanted our country to change into Federalism. Hopefully so, I mean hopefully he will still let our country remain as democratic . I'm hoping for the best of our country as our economy is getting down and our product's prices are increasing. Our government most specially our president should take an action for this.

We're still lucky than China actually as they have that kind of government where in their people suffer from being too strict. I just hate that way.

Yes that is right, china is now becoming the new friend of the Philippines which was one of our competitor on the disputed Island of west Philippine sea. I am just saddened by the reality that we cannot even stand for our territories since china is a powerful nation which even US could not hesitate to overrun china.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is one of the saddest thing of Philippine history. We could not able to fight for our own right in the territory that it supposed to be ours. I remember the current president was telling to the people of the Philippines during campaign period that he would go to the disputed territory even he ride the jetski and put the Philippine flag in there to show the Chinese government that land is belong to the Filipinos. Funny that when he won things became different and changed to something that we did not expect.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
He badly needs to do that for him to win the hearts of many people. Yeah, its really sad to think that he can't protect our own territory and supposedly the one who's responsible for this problem as he is the current president. I am just afraid that soon Mr. President let China invade our country knowing that they are more powerful than our country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
I agree with you. I just can't stand hearing that news. I am really annoyed as it was in our constitution that west Philippine Sea is still our territory but China keeps on coming back and forth to our territory which is supposedly forbidden but president just let them do that. The worst thing was he even let China became our ally when he was already held as president which is I think a very wrong idea.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That was really a wrong moved by the president. He should not just decided it by himself. He should consulted it to the people of the Philippines. He is just the representative of the people so he should know how to listen and weighing the possible long effects of what he did. China is very powerful and one of the strongest nation when it comes to the economy and military but there are international rules the needs to be followed.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Yes, We are in democratic country so the president should listen to his people as people chose him to be the leader of our country so we should also have the right to voice out our opinions.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Yeah but the president seems very hard headed person. He seems his decisions are all good for the country. This administration doing their job obviously but I think it is not enough because of many things has continue increasing like inflation rate, currency rate, petroleum rice and many more.

I have to agree that being a part of a democratic state is a big deal. And as we all know suppressing freedom leads to stagnation and ruin. This is supported by history itself and no president nowadays can change it without a full fledged war. I mean people would be out on the streets protesting such move and not even the military would support it.

It's seems China wants to control all the information that it's citizens can access so that the government can control and influence all the stories and news feeds. I mean if the government says that they have the most powerful army in the world well their citizens would believe it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes I've got the same feeling as you, it seems like the government of china is doing all the means to ensure that they will influence and control its people even though they are already in a progressive mode.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is what China knows how to deal with the business. They wanted to control everything even their peoples lives. Not all Chinese are happy to their government. Most of the media in their country broadcast internationally showed only good things happening in China but the reality is not all people are not happy to their country. China wanted to be on top and they will do everything to undertake USA. Philippines is known as number one ally of US but things changed because the Philippine president likely to be an ally of China. Not all Filipinos wanted this kind of alliance.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes I agree on you, China is one of the country that does not abide with the international law that is why I am not expecting so much from them. They are doing everything especially in improving the capabilities of their warfare equipment since I think they are planning to conquer some territories even though they have no such basis or legality that they own a certain place just like what they are doing in the west Philippine sea.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
It is very true. What they are doing now is making their force stronger than ever to get some territories easily. Philippines is endangered in the possible goal of Chinese government but the current administration seems blind and deaf to what Chinese people doing in the west Philippine sea.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes you are right on that, It is just really sad that we cannot even depend our own territories to these invaders such as the Chinese people. I don't know what is the president thinking about that issue. I really don't want to wake up in the morning that we are now the colony of the Chinese people since it would not be a good idea if we are put in that particular situation. I think it is about time to raise that particular concern before it is too late. Depend what is ours and depend our rights on those territories that are being destroyed by the Chinese government for their own purpose.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
The fact that the recent administration vowing the China government the more our territories in south and west china sea affected and in trouble. Our current government administration has nothing to do about the issue and still praising and patronizing China. We won the petition in International Court during Aquino administration but when the new administration took over the power everything was messed up and the president was visited in China and became new ally.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes that is right, I really don't know on what is the president thinking when he wants to be an ally of china since it is very clear that china is just taking advantage on being soft of the new administration to the Chinese government. It is really a major concern that needs to have an immediate action because we are losing some of our territories which could have been a great source of oil and other natural resources.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. China wants to control all the information from its citizen. They just want the people to follow their own orders.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, and people can't do anything about it as there can be consequences if they try to oppose the government or if someone tries to help the victims. Speaking out over the scandals of government should keep hidden or else they will go to jail or worst, beaten up.

I did not know about Weibo. However, I know Google and facebook are not allowed in China. Instead of Google Chinese use Baidu. Baidu is the world's second largest search engine, it has more market share than Bing and Yahoo. The reason why China banned facebook and Google is purely a business tactics. They have huge population and they do not want foreign companies to profit from their population.

I did not know that application before. I have no idea how it works but I knew this application when one of the singer from the Philippines was invited to join the singing competition there. They were using Weibo as the application tool in the contest.

I had heard of weibo previously but I never checked this site. I did not know this was a name of a popular social media site in China. I think non-Chinese users can also profit from this site. If you have something to promote, you can use Weibo and attract Chinese customers.
I have tried VK, which is a Russian Facebook. I might use Weibo.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Weibo is Chinese made social application and it is not exclusively for chinese use only. People can download it wherever you are and you can use it as well. I think it is one of the best and newest application from China. I never heard any Russian application and never tried it yet.

Yeah I've heard about the Facebook and its true but Google too? Well we can't really blame them about it, Google can let you access details whatever we want, just type it - and its all there, so that could be the reason they won't allow them to use it if their government is really that strict about what their people trying to access everyday. Interesting.

Everything under google is banned in China. So it includes google search, google maps and all. Even youtube, IG, twitter is banned in China. Pornsites are also banned. Even wikipedia, ebay, dropbox, scribd, some news sites, twitch, quora music streaming and VPN. They have their own version of amazon and ebay which is Alibaba. It is also big in China like Weibo.

I cant imagine what kind of lives do the chinese have. They are like ignorant in what is happening outside their country. Their government must have a reasonable explanations why the did ban those social media but I think they took the rights of their people to choose for themselves.

One of the evident reasons for China banning foreign internet companies is because they are stopping their population to learn what's happening in the world. However, this is not the only reason. The ban is more of a business strategy. China has a huge population, and she wants to cash on that fact to make money from the internet. It can itself earn from the internet companies similar to Google, facebook, Amazon, Ebay etc.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is very true. China wants to be on top among the countries around the world and this country will do anything. Chinese nationality is spreading all over the world. I have been in different countries and I saw chinese also there.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

True. They are even limiting the amount of foreign movies to be showed in China. Some genres that include homosexuality and magic are automatically banned from screening or some movie studios make China-approve movie cut editions. They just can't ignore the country with over a billion people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I see a valid reason for China's ban on foreign internet companies. I don't see why China should allow facebook or Google to operate in the country and make money from the Chinese population. Ban on facebook and Google doe snot mean Chinese people are restricted from getting information. They can still access information from their own search engines and social media sites.

WeChat is the most common social media app in China. It's basically Facebook and Messenger all-in-one. I've also read about copycat apps for the Chinese market. I think this is just a way for the government to monitor the activity of it's countrymen. Like they wouldn't trust Facebook with their citizen's data. It's just the way they are.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Yeah WeChat is a chinese made social media app. Even not chinese can use it internationally. I used Wechat before and I found out nice but not into it. It is more likely viber.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes I have heard already about this particular app but I haven't tried it yet since mostly in my country we are using Facebook as our social media site to get connected with our family and friends. I heard that Wechat is very popular in china and it is really similar to Facebook. Maybe If I have some time I would try to download that app and make use of it so that I can experience how it works.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
I used Wechat before when I lived in United Arab Emirates. It is actually similar to Facebook but has more chinese graphics and designs. I think this is the main social media of chinese people to communicate in their country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I remember WeChat was advertising their app in the Philippines before. I'm glad it flopped. Back then, there were Skype and Viber that were the main messenging apps. Who knows what the Chinese government is going to do with the user's data.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Yeah we will never know what they might do in our data just in case we signed in in their application made. I dont remember that wechat had a commercial in the Philippines. Most of the Filipinos did not entertained that application, they mostly subscribed into social media application made by Westerner.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

They were pushing hard on Youtube and Facebook back then. The videos I was watching had WeChat on them. Globe and Smart even pre-installed them on some of their postpaid phones. I got one of them and it was really frustrating I can't uninstall it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That was the problem when you wanted to remove something and yet you did not know how, I guess it was really frustrating. I really dont remember it was advertised. I think I was not here in the Philippines during that time. I installed WeChat once but I uninstalled it after a day or two because I did not like that much.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

rlpzbeermoney
The only way for you to uninstall WeChat back then was to learn how to root your phone. Essentially it is like Jailbreak on iPhone. I least I learned a new skill in finding out how to uninstall the darn thing. I love Android because of this.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have never used WeChat and I did not know WeChat is a popular app in China. There are so many social media sites and social apps that it is impossible to use each and every one of them. We have to choose the one that best suits us. I am with the old social media sites and apps like facebook, twitter, linkedin, messenger, viber etc.

After the data issue with Facebook and Cambridge Analytica with respect to US elections, most countries are now skeptical with depending 100% on Facebook with their citizens data.

I'm sure it's probably the reason why WeChat and RenRen are on top of the charts on the most used social media sites/applications used in the country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

rlpzbeermoney
The way I see it, people don't really care all that much about their data. If they were, people would have boycotted Google a long time ago. Though I am disturbed about Google and Facebook's data mining, I'm not all that scared about my info leaking out. I think most people don't also. It's just the people with reputations to protect or had done something shady that are looking at their backs.

I heard that the government of China is protecting their citizens from exploited by foreign capitalists that is why facebook is not allowed in their country. Honestly, I feel sorry for them if this is the case. For some people, Facebook is part of their lives and the fact that their government is controlling this platform, it means that they also control their personal lives. But I understand that if they have profound reasons for doing this, something that we don't know.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes I think that too. Hearing it makes me feel so sad knowing that people don't have freedom to do their things on their own. Even in population, they only required limited offsprings in each family that's why a lot of chinese migrates here in Philippines. Since a lot of chinese are business entrepreneurs, they build their capitals here.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with what you say. Facebook is also a happiness for other people and I want to know the reasons why Facebook is being banned. I think they have a very strict law. And no wonder why a lot of Chinese are living and studying here in the Philippines. You are right that a lot of Chinese migrates in the Philippines. Some of them are studying and some are building their business. Chinese are great at running a business. If you notice, most of the successful business owners here in our country are Chinese.

They should really control their population because the chinese population is the biggest population in the world. They needed to do something to control it. I liked that idea because they are after the conditions of the family of they can or cannot handle a big family.

I dont opposed having policies on birth control on China. We cannot deny the fact that China has a very big population. Responsible parenting would be better than to have so many child and you cannot even afford to give them decent life. There are some policies in China that is good and I think they should stick with it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Birth control is one of the best policy that China did for their people. I liked the fact how people obeyed the policy. I think their government was very serious about the punishment that they have implemented for those who would not wanted to follow.

Is Facebook banned or censored in China? Anyway one of the two. I know there is a site called RENREN that is the Chinese version of Facebook.I hear that it looks exactly like Facebook. The government in China I find try to control everything their citizens consume. I think that any independent thought is not encouraged. I don't know how long this will last though.China is not a democracy so I don't think that its citizens can use anything the government does not approve of. Everyone has their own system, what I don't like about this situation is the imitation of Facebook. Communism however does not spar creativity. If you look closely China produces many things but it copies other people's technology. That's why they are always fighting with the US.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

China is not allowed Facebook in their country. They minimize the bad effects of too many sites in the country like spreading fake news. China knows best for their people that is why they implemented this kind of rules. I know not all chinese people liked this kind of idea but they could not do anything about it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

There are a few citizens who knew a workaround about this. What they do is use a proxy site to access Facebook and other social media platforms. You can take the imitations away from China, but you can't take China away from doing imitations.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
That is how people remember China, their capable of imitating something. I have no idea how proud are they for doing imitations. Fake is fake and original is original, they could not tale away that mentality for the people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
True. The thing is, China is the manufacturing mecca of the world. Almost everything is made in China and laws regarding patents, brands, and trademarks are not strictly enforced (I am not entirely sure if such laws there exist). EIther way, as ordinary citizens, the only thing we can do about it is to stop buying fake products.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
Right, everything is almost made in China. And they keep on doing that without considering the effects of imitating of their country. We should not patronize buying fake products because in the end we would be the one who would suffer in the end.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
The great thing about China why their economy is now bigger compared to the US is they patronize their products meaning buying what their country has to offer. Compared to the Philippines, we are fond of buying imported products instead of what we locally produce or better yet let's make it ourselves (especially technology). Now, even rice is imported from countries like Thailand and Vietnam.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mark8625
They do that because they dont care whether the product has low quality and imitations, what they care about is how they are going to help their country to become one of the richest country in the world.

Facebook is not allowed in China. I dont know if twitter or skype are fine to them eto use. Wechat and Webbo are the most popular social media site in China. I dont know before why China is against to use more social media site in their country, now I understand that they needed to control it to avoid people spreading fake news. Philippines should also follow China when it comes to regulate social media because in the Philippines many fakes news are posting online everyday.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The main reason why China doesn't allow social media platforms from the West, specifically from the United States, is because their government doesn't want the West to spy on them and their people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

For sure that is one main reason of Chinese government. One thing I liked about Chinese government is that if they wanted to implement certain rules people are obeying it.

That's what a communist regime does to its citizens. They do not live in a society where freedom of expression (particularly about the government) is exercised. People are afraid to stand up for themselves to avoid self-incrimination. They do share the same principles with similar countries like Russia and Vietnam.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah Chinese are afraid to their government because they might get a strong punishment for those who will oppose the administration. I am not sure which social network is number 1. I have found out that facebook is now allowed there. And lot of chinese people are posting there as well. So I think facebook would surely overtake their existing social network. And things would surely change there. As of now I am thinking that social media platforms such as facebook and twitter are pretty much common in china. So things are changed.

I think the biggest social media platforms that very popular in China are Wechat and Weibo with a million of users spend a large amount of time on it for communication purposes. They both have millions of monthly active users. A side from China's social media platform there are many application/sites made by Chinese that are popular around the world like tiktok. I dont know why Facebook is prohibited in China but in my own theories is they don't want Chinese to use facebook because they want to have own made social media platform as we all know Chinese population is a big impact for business.

Ughm yes it is a copycat of Facebook. The answer in your question is they want to re-establish a new kind of social system like Facebook because they want to make money that can also help the growth of their economy. We all know that the owner of the Facebook isn't a Chinese so we can conclude that there is a possibility that the main reason of doing it is to make a socializing system that will serve as a major competitor of Facebook.

As far as I’m aware, Facebook was blocked in China due to some sort of riots which had occurred in 2009. The activists were using Facebook as a communications network in order to organize themselves, and since the Chinese government were trying to suppress their behavior, naturally they blocked Facebook as a means of communication. I believe that the site has remained blocked ever since.

According to a quick Google search, WeChat seems to be the most “all-in-one” social media platform in China, followed by Sina Weibo which seems to be considered China’s Twitter. All the information I got was from Google since I’m not Chinese and know literally nothing about Chinese social media behavior or platforms.

Internet sites like facebook and Google are banned in China not just because people are communicating or accessing information using these tools. It is also a business strategy. What will china gain when it allows facebook to operate in the country? Nothing. What it will gain when it bans facebook? It will lunch its own social media site and make money from the huge population.

The problem with social media is that it is being abused in many ways. Many people are being offended by the posts or comments that are being circulated in a social media platform. Spreading fake news are also the main problem in social media nowadays. Many people are taking advantage of this platform to spread lies and make the people think that its the truth. Banning this kind of platform is the first step in regulating them. That's why I still trust the local broadsheet in looking for some piece of information that I needed.

The Chinese government is ensuring that nobody can influence its people that is why they are inventing some apps or gadgets that they can used to spy and solicit some information of the people that would be beneficial for the Chinese government without noticing it by the users. The most being worst here is the vulnerability of the app from any hacking incident that might happen in the future.

Weibo has been used not only by Chinese people, but also by people outside China who wants to connect to them. I know a lot of people who, use Weibo, especially the K-POP stars who also have their promotions in the said country. I find it very amazing that China can control the sites people can get access to so they can patronize their own. Getting other nationalities use their apps and social networking site is even greater. I havenhaveIt't riedbe it, though. It makes us realize how China could become even more powerful and influential in the future.

I believe you are referring to the great firewall of china. They block many sites, basically for no reason. I think it's to stop the chinese people from getting propaganda or something, kinda like how it is in North Korea.

China wants to prove that they are also one of the best when it comes to producing a global social media application but it is obviously a copycat from the western application.

Yes I agree on you, china really wants to show that they have also the capability to make their own social media platforms just like what other western countries can make. But mostly Chinese people are only good at copying since they can easily copy those applications or anything that they wanted that is why we can see that most well known brands are now made in china.

That is the disadvantage of it. Copying in many ways like in clothes, shoes, bags, gadgets and many more. What is the purpose of China why they are doing this such thing? They wanted to be on top buy when it comes to these items they have no originality but to copy it.

I wasn't even aware that China banned the use of Facebook in the country. What could have been the cause of the the government taking such measures at the use of Facebook social media site? It's definitely going to be about something serious. I'm only aware of India banning the use of Whatsapp, I'm not sure if the ban is still on now.

If I can recall it correctly, the Chinese government banned Facebook in 2010 following the mass protests and government crackdowns. It is alleged that Facebook was being used as a means of communication of the rallyists. Ever since that time the ban against Facebook was never lifted.

Sadly, I believe this is all about people control. People love social media, so if you have social media restrictions and your own social media resource, you can keep tabs on what people are doing. I do meet a fair few Chinese in a role I have offline and I always get the feeling they are a bit scared to say what the reality of life in China is. I found the same years ago when living in Iraq under Sadam Hussein. People would deny the reality to your face and present as very scared. China is a communist regime and sadly, these regimes do invest in people control. They get worried when people are able to access different ideas.

For what I know, Weibo is the most popular social media site in China and it's not that very similar to Facebook because it's like a combination of blogging, Facebook and YouTube. For the reason why Facebook is banned in China (which I am not aware of until saw this post), reading from the comments at the top, I am very shocked to hear about the reason because I thought that Chinese people has democracy or whatsoever. Didn't know their government is super protective and controlling tho, although I've heard that some places in China are being overly surveillanced by the government in terms of putting a lot of CCTV's on public areas. It's heartbreaking to know that their strict surveillance to their citizens also exist on social media.

I guess China has a different social media like Facebook, since they banned Facebook on China, and also their using WeChat application for their communications with someone else especially their love ones.

In my opinion, maybe just like the North Korea, they don't want their people to be influenced by other countries. Unlike in our country that most of the people uses Facebook for almost everyday, that some people tend to adapt other people's doings and manners. Both might have a negative and positive impact. They just want to protect their people. I guess the number one social media for them is Weibo that appears to be their Facebook there in China.

North Korea is a rouge nation, China cannot be compared with North Korea. China is politically Communist, but economically it is not very different from the US or the UK. China's economic policy is very similar to capitalist economic policy. As for the ban, it is more of a business strategy instead of "ban on freedom" just like the western countries say.

I really don't know why China is copying everything from clothing, gadgets and so on. We can see nowadays that many products are made in China especially those branded items. I wonder if it is not illegal since they making a product such as a Samsung brand of gadgets but labeled as made in china. I thought that there is only one company that can manufacture those branded products otherwise they will sue those people producing the same products that they are making. I just wanted to know the truth about it.

The propensity of the Chinese to copy the products is due to the availability of their resources. They have many factory and workers that they seem to have a surplus of the means to produce so they will produce whatever will come their way. Copying is not good but it is allowed in China and we cannot do anything about it because even if you sue the manufacturer of the copied products nothing will happen.

Douban is also China's one of the biggest social media platform. It is a person to person communication stage that spotlights on conveying everything that needs to be conveyed and one's way of life. Clients regularly present on Douban on talk about books, motion pictures, music, and occasions. The scene on Douban is continually moving and slants rise and cease to exist generally rapidly on the stage.

Well, it's not a surprise that the Chinese social network site is copying a site like Facebook and the Chinese government does not allow the original facebook to do business in China. I think China does not want Facebook to dominate the thinking process of it people. After all, China does not have a completely democratic setup. all the countries which are not democracies are very touchy about public opinion getting influenced by outside forces.
