Back in the day I use to skateboard and would order a lot of stuff from CCS.com which is a huge retailer of skating related stuff.  I would always order from them because they would throw in stickers related to the brands you purchased, which was a pleasant surprise and made me want to get more stuff off of their website Over deliver your services and products to build a better brand

Do more than the client actually paid for
When you're running a service, SEO related or not, you will want to do more than what the client actually paid for.  When you do this, you're giving away a little treat to your customers that they weren't expecting.  Similar to the surprise add-ons like in the point above, this additional work won't take long for you to do and the client will likely come back for more.

A good example of this is my writing service I offer here on Seocheckout and on my own personal website where I sell my services.  I will get an order for 500 words and I will send them 750+, even 1,500 at times, in return and the client will be extremely happy.  They paid for 500 words and usually get double what they were expecting, making their purchase something that they weren't expecting and they will come back more often to make a purchase Over deliver your services and products to build a better brand


Watch your positive reviews roll in
When you start to go above and beyond the call of business, you'll notice the positive reviews starting to roll in.  Not everyone will come and leave a positive review on your product or service page on eBay, Amazon, Yelp, etc. but the ones that do will leave some golden nuggets of content for everyone else to read.  These reviews will only help you build up your sales since they will come from previous buyers who were already happy with what they received, which means people who haven't purchased already might be convinced simply based on the reviews they're reading about your product or service Over deliver your services and products to build a better brand

Love this concept of going the extra mile. It’s such a great way to build rapport with clients and show them that you are the kind of business that goes above and beyond rather than just doing the bare minimum. In this day and age you’ve got to set yourself apart from your rivals and this is a great way to do that.

I may agree in going an extra mile for the service but you have to take note that customers may get spoiled because not all customers are born equal. There are demanding customers who has the habit of saying that the service is not good as before and would even mention the big discount that you gave or the freebie that he received from you. Maybe a better approach is the personal touch when it comes to the extra mile.

I think courtesy is a bit more important when dealing with customers. But over-delivering can be a slippery slope. Going the extra mile so to speak, is okay. Just so long as you don't become a seller that customers can take advantage of by getting too many perks for free.

True. You should look out to become the one who is trusted but also not treated like trash by customers. It is very bad when clients take advantage of this quality to make you give them a lot of services for free or at inferior prices.

True, there are some customers who take advantage of these freebies. I think the best solution for these is to give it to those customers who reached a minimum requirement to get a freebie or maybe for the first time buyers only. On that way, you can control your free giveaways while earning positive reviews and more customers coming through.

That's a good point as well. I do think that going above and beyond (within reason) is a good thing, but if ever I felt like I was being taken advantage of that would probably skew and change my perception of it.

You have a point. It is always a plus for the customers if they do nd the one whom theydm dealing with as a person with pleasing personality. People don't want to deal with someone who's like being forced to work and deal with them.

Receiving extras for our own money making us all happier and we will probably return to the same supplier again. That's how we have to treat our customers when we want them to be happy and return to buy more. Always start from your self in order to understand your customers and how to get better business results and improve income

This is a really great idea to get more customers. As a customer, I really like receiving freebies and wanting me to get more. More of, you can give some collectibles to your customers so that they will deifinitely order again from you as they want to complete the collection. Also, I agree that they will leave a positive review about your company leaving you good points for other customers that were planning to buy products from you. These really are good marketing strategy to get more customers.

No one hates freebies right? That's why you just have to win their heart and they will give you their loyalty. Anyways, it is not always that you'll give out freebies. What's the worth of giving a little for receiving more than you can ever imagine.

Exactly what I needed to strengthen my resolve to create quality content all the time.

I've been working on a new project and I was struggling with justifying the need to write lengthy introductions when most people who've worked on similar projects didn't bother writing any introductions. Now I have a good reason why I should.

Consistently over-deliver and clients or customers will like your work. It's a sure-fire way of retaining customers but could also be one way of reeling them in if they already know they won't get what you are offering them, elsewhere.

The unexpected additional surprise that he was mentioning is something that wont hurt the sellers pocket. Just take the example he gave us like the skateboard he ordered. I think the sticker surprise is not that expensive of a freebies but it does really make a customer happy and could develop good customer relation. So going the extra mile for your customers must not be kind of a burden but something that you will be happy to give away.

He he he. There you are man. I was wondering what you were to when you talked of over delivering. So this was to have an edge over the competitors. You may only add a compass to your smartphone and people will run for it just for that extra. I love that.

Doing additional task that the clients didn't paid for that is something relevant and helpful to them is really a great thing to do. It will help you build trust with your clients. And you are absolutely the first person that will come in their minds every time they have a new project.

Going extra miles for consumers is always a welcome practice. Often times companies that offer extra services are what clients prefer. They feel more special and more welcome and they come back more often.

I have learned from the experience that building services on top of small things is a good idea. Yes, sometimes a small gift really makes a huge difference. It actually warms someone's heart and makes them feel good as well. I remember a friend told me, she sent a thank you email to the interviewer after she attended an interview. The interviewer was really impressed as he has never received any thank you note after interviews before. Though it's just a simple act, it shows how grateful the interviewee is and it'll always leave an impression to the interviewer. It's the same when we want to build customer relationship. I believe if our customers receive something extra, especially if it's something they can make good use of, they will always remember it and might recommend us to their friends as well. It's always good if we can build long-term relationship with our customers. I like the idea of the surprise and free add-on. Who doesn't like freebies and surprise?

This reminds me of the Christmas season when vendors would knock on our office just to bring some gifts. It is their way of cultivating a good relationship with their clients. But sometimes even small tokens like a pen or a cell phone case is fully appreciated. Clients like me never forget the generosity of the vendors when they do that add on like they are still doing a marketing promotion.

In doing business, it's not good. If you give away, you should have something to take back for the good of your business. Over delivering on your services or products just to build a better brand?
