Marketers go where the money is, and the money is in social media right now. For the first time in history, there has been more money invested into digital adverting than there was for adverts going through major television companies. This means that most of the companies out there, who are spending millions a month on ads, are moving more towards online advertising since more people are there and not watching as much TV. There are more people on social networks today than there have ever been. Almost 3,000,000,000 people a month use social media at least once, and big corporations are starting to notice. Not just the big corporations are noticing, Facebook realizes this as well and they are constantly pushing to expand each year into different sectors in order to get more people on social media.

When it comes to entrepreneurs or business owners, the move from old time tv advertising to digital advertising shows that many people are trying to create new revenue streams. People are moving to social media platforms and the advertisers are following in order to capture new sales from new people they may not be capturing with traditional methods. Think about it, there was almost $45 billion spent on facebook ads alone, which is a staggering amount to even a millionaire. This just proves that many big time agencies and corporations are moving towards social media ad spend and not traditional methods of gaining new customers.

In this discussion I'll go over 5 ways you can turn a big profit through social media. Remember, all results will vary.

Thank you for the list of ideas. I am kind of puzzled as some of my campaigns didn't worked out. I am trying to get one profile to be an influencer. But so far not much is being done there. I have to be working on original content. And see where it stands. As of now it seems like there are lot of things that are to be done to convert the following into customers. I hope to find out how that can be done.

Do you mean to say that you are promoting someone in social media to be an influencer? I wonder how you are doing it because from what I know, an influencer is someone who has good posts which are interesting to the readers. If you are the marketing person then how do you promote your client when you are doing your own posts? Pardon me for that ignorant question because this is the first time that I have learned that you can hire a service to promote yourself to be an influencer.

I think you are confusing between influencer and marketer. Marketers don't use persona. But the influencers make use of that. And they reach more users using that approach. I can tell you that influencers persona is what makes the traffic go more in the social media. I have found out that some of the time big profit is a bit harder. And that means it can be relatives different for each users.

It's always hard to handle negative feedback really, because it's not a nice thing to see especially for your own business. The best thing to do, of course is to simple apologise and try and rectify the issue that they had for your business. Make sure to post this publically so that your other customers/potential customers see that you are actively trying to sort out any complaints that people have.

I'm wondering, though, "How many people are seeing the admin's posts in their Facebook feeds?", I do know that with Facebook pages the number is very tiny. Anyway, the solution on the pages is to pay money, though, it's not too much compared with other forms of advertising. So, do you all think there is some catch also with Facebook groups?

This is a forum post not a article. If this were to be article and he shared it on the facebook, I am sure he'd get the article in feed of many bloggers. The thing is forums get very few traffic. And considering Razzy mostly writes in forum that's one reason it's harder for the forum post to reach from feed of facebook. But I am sure if this were to be article it'd get 10x more views than forum post.

I like the last part of the article which is to "Master a platform that your competition is neglecting". I think this is one of the most important steps to make money. To find a chink in the armor of your competition. If they happen to have a social media website that they are not active or are not participating yet, it's your chance to take the initiative and grab all the audience for yourself! It really makes all the people think that you are one of the industry leaders if they see no one else but you in their feed. This will hit your competitors hard.

Another great thing about doing this is you can then cross advertise to those people using Facebook pixels and get them to follow you on additional platforms

After a while, you'll then start showing up in searches more often and all of your social media profiles will go from novice to pro lol

Don't just Facebook use other platforms as well like Twitter, Reddit and also Linkedin? As for Facebook, I do also know a great way is through certain facebook groups. Make sure the group you join is related to the niche you are using. Also, create a Facebook page with a call to action button, create a group also and link the page to your new group and just work on building an audience of members.

If you switch to a business account within your settings you can see your analytics after 24 hours

You basically just need an email and you can switch from a personal to a business account

What you'll need to do is go to your profile, click the 3 little verticle dots in the top right, scroll down until you see something that says "Switch to business account" or something like that, take the next steps to activate it

You just need an email, but you can add your phone number and address as well if you really want to.

If you set up a good Facebook group and have good number of members who are actively participating in the group activities, it wouldn't be a problem getting adequate traffic you need and funnel it to your site. Once the Facebook group offers something good, it's membership base would increase on daily basis. There was this gaming Facebook group that I joined a while back, it had about 500 members then, but now it has over 6k members. Imagine the kind of traffic those members are generating from the group.

For me, it is the Facebook group that is the most potent if you know how to handle it properly. When you have created a Facebook group with hundreds or better if thousands of members then you can command the group since you are the founder. But I am not saying that you can dominate the group. It’s just like being a great influence to the members so whatever you post will get some reactions that most likely are positive reactions more than the negative. In that case, that Facebook group can be your source of traffic from time to time.

Facebook groups are easier to manage and you more or less know how much people you are influencing because people don't really join groups unless they want to participate actively and contribute as a group member. It can really help with site traffic and marketing strategies.

I think social media is an amazing avenue to generate traffic. I however disagree with the role of influencer's to generate traffic. This assumes that your audience are sheep waiting for the messiah to be led. An influencer can help, but I think it depends on your product and how your message. Social media is not a magic bullet. Even if you have a large following or can find someone who does, you have to pay attention to the above points.

You do realize that there are demographics out there who are exactly that? You just have to figure out if your product or service is something that can be marketed to them.

Why do you think that marketing companies actively try their best to target teenage demographics? Because teenagers are undeveloped and easily manipulated. Jake or Logan Paul say "Tell your parents to buy 20 tubes of Paul's New Hemorrhoid Cream" and they're typing in their credit card info before you can say "ka-ching."

The advent of ad blockers and rampant demonetization has definitely made it difficult to make a profit through traditional AdSense programs, both for the people doing the advertisement and those hosting the ads. Influencers definitely help in this regard. Not only can you effectively and actively reach a massive audience, but you're also helping keep content creators in business. It becomes a cycle where influencers and advertisers can develop a symbiotic relationship.

There's money to be made from social media without a doubt, but there's still a certain method and science to it. Spamming links and such isn't gonna get it done. You need to put forth a brand, and then use that brand to attract people within your topic space. Once you do that, the more you build upon the brand, the more your follower numbers will grow. THEN - you can begin to profit from your social media accounts.

Influencer marketing has been on the upswing for awhile now. I think more and more freelance sites and companies are watching it overtake social media marketing. While both share similarities, SMM is more about blasting links via email and messenger. Whereas SMI is more about delivering a specific message to an audience that's designed to pique their interest and connect with them beyond just clicking a link.

Dominating social media is not an easy thing to do, but once you learn how to influence your social followers, it can be better then any paid advertising system. I am using it for long time, specially Twitter and Facebook (30%) with some great results. Also every social network works different and it can be time consuming, so it's hard to work on many different platforms, but spend your time to hit hard on one or two of them and it can drive you some good results and make you money

Using social media is a big help for those small players in the business. They have a chance at least to have a small portion of sales competing with big players. It may not be easy at the beginning but as when they start building their customers' trusts they are now growing their pages because most customers will be going to recommend their social media accounts to their families and friends. I agree with you that groups is a good way of getting a following and it helps you become an authority figure. I've got a couple of groups with a tightly knit membership, the first one has overc 6000 members and the second one has 2,400 members.
