What do you currently work online to earn aside from being a content writer?

I currently love what I do being a content writer for sites. But at the back of my head, I am aware it won't pay off all my so-called needs and wants. I need other decent paying online jobs to hit that daily income rate but there are thousands to choose from and not all are legitimate as they seem.

Right now, content writing in my prime source of income. You say content writing can't pay for your needs? How are you finding work? There are some freelance sites where the prices are unbelievably low. Since I am in the US, I target clients that are specifically looking for US writers or native speakers. Typically, this is going to pay a lot more. I also look for companies that want premium content, which adds to the cost.

You really could earn a good enough living just from writing as long as you know how to do it. As long as you are able to provide premium content and find the clients that are willing to pay and at the same time are also knowledgeable enough to know that high quality content does necessitate a bit more expense, then you will get paid fairly well for the content you provide. I agree that it really isn't all that necessary to venture out just to earn more if writing really is what you want to focus on.

The advice I give people about freelancing is that they need to think of themselves as a business. ANd, that includes sales and marketing, having a target client, and constantly working to grow.

Many companies are offering online solutions for web contents. But getting a quality content very important for the good reputation. You can find many categories for your online work. But to work smartly you can choose the field you love to work that you concentrate accurately. You can find many online jobs other than content writing job such an as you can go for graphic designing and can earn a handsome amount. You can start to do data entry job, can provide SEO services, word press and many more. But if you are tired of being a content writer you can outsource your services to lessen your burden and enjoy working as a content writer. For example, you can outsource any of the services to the website contentmart.com that can assist you in working and you can earn online easily.

You have the advantage in content writing because I have come across sites that need native speakers of English that pretending to be one is not a good idea. Those kind of sites have their own purpose but I still cannot come to terms why they discriminate those writers who are not native speakers. And I have to agree that you will be earning more than what we earn simply because English is not our primary language.

@augusta, I'm quite keen to learn about the sites you offer surveys on and get paid. I've always seen surveys as part of the way that I can increase my earnings online, but it seems that at the moment, I can't place my fingers on a light site to start off. So, I would be glad to hear from you.

I do paid forum posting, take surveys, do GPT programs, the usual drill. THe same things most people do to earn money. I also place ads as a source of income. I would like to graduate from paper route kind of money to real online income though.

My main income is still content writing but I can understand if you're struggling to make as much as you want. Just perhaps try and look for other platforms - don't just look for content writing on one website.

But besides this, I also do transcribing, designing, translating, and running my own blog which also generates some revenue. All together is more than enough for me so I am quite happy.

I am also into online selling and tutoring. I earn a decent amount from both. I recently started with online tutoring and it is so much fun to interact with students based in other countries. This is definitely helping me to improve my communication skills. I also learn from my students. They share their countries cultures and traditions very often.

I'm only based on writing and as a graduate of economics from one of the prestigious university in the country that I reside in, I am interested to learn about how torturing others help and the site that can give me the opportunity to do so as well. Hope to hear from you soon.

Nothing actually. I'm on a gap year so I don't really need to have another job because I don't need a salary to survive on for the moment. I do a bit of paid posting here and there just to make some extra money for when I am free and have nothing else to do. I am actually working on a website which I hope can help me to make some extra money as well on the side.

I disagree, content writing can earn you quite a bit of money. I have friends who earn up to &100 for a 1000 word article. I've heard there is potential to make more.

I'm also aiming for this kind of pay, I know the trick is to improve your writing and research skills.Good content is not easy to find, and once you can produce it, people will be banging down your door.

Apart from content writing, I'm doing affiliate marketing. I have just started so not earning from it yet, my target is $ 40 a day. My goal is to begin earning this amount in three months time.

It's true if you find a good gig then it can surely earn a good amount of money. But finding a good gig and getting paid is a long process. And that is one more reason why many people are not into the content writing jobs for long. There does seem to be the chances where people don't see much outcome through such gigs anymore. Things have slowed down a bit lately.

At the moment, content writing has been my main activity (in the online field) and I very satisfied with the results I am getting get so far. I always think I can achieve a little more, but I think this is a harm that affects everyone... Am I right? Hahahaha! What do you currently work online to earn aside from being a content writer?

I can totally relate to your reply. This is what I think too, but every single time I go out of my way to get a few more buyers, or clients is when things do not go so well and I fall behind. If you truly need more work, then by all means go out and look for it. Just make sure you can still offer great support, high quality articles, and won't be mentally exhausted constantly because you have too many things to get done in such a short period of time.

I see the situation exactly in this way: deciding to risk new ways to get new customers is always something valid, but you have to know how to do this so you don't risk losing the customers that you already have.

Sooner or later you'll have to expand your horizons, but you have to do it in a balanced way.

Aside from being a content writer, I earn from affiliate marketing. Right from time, I had loved to be an affiliate marketer. Affiliate marketing is the most lucrative online business because it allows you to promote even with your own brand. Your brand is your personal website and your own foundation online. I work with three great affiliate marketing networks, promoting and earning commissions.

This has given me a kind of freedom to earn lots of cash at the comfort of my home. I promote with my own website and earn google AdSense revenue at the same time.

I've loved to be an affiliate marketer and got my hands on one of the popular website that offer affiliate marketing service, but it happened that I was ineligible to register and work on the site as they have not covered the region I come from. I would be glad, if you share the site you got your affiliate marketing services from since you're from this part of the world as well.

Honestly, I am barely getting by with article writing or content creating. With many bills and unexpected expenses I am desperately seeking other online work. Not only am I seeking other online work, I am also trying to create new products to sell and hoping I can finish them in a timely manner so I do not have to solely rely on writing as an income source.

Having multiple incomes sources, especially if you only freelance online, is great and you should. If one source seems to die off then you can pick up another one. I would probably continue to write daily however it gets mentally exhausting because you are constantly trying to find things to write about, and if the topic is given to you to write about then you are hoping the seller likes the work.

Freelancing is no easy task, unless you outsource it. However, I do not outsource because I like to think my work is of high quality as I can get to be. I do not trust others with my work, and do not think they would offer a service as good as mine. Many of you freelance would understand this issue with outsourcing if you have ever done it in the past.

I am posting steemit. And there I am earning some steem. It may not be much. But that is convertible into the bitcoin. And that can be then converted to the local currency. It's kind of hardwork compared to anything out there. But if this works out it can earn lot better money than anything. I'd say that you should write for any normal and small site. And build yourself as much as possible. This way you can reach out to more people. I personally prefer to do forum posting, small gigs, fiverr, upwork and some other jobs whichever earn me even single small cent.

My main activity online revolves around editing my websites and adding content. I no longer write articles for other sites as the sites that I have been writing for in the past no longer accept articles. I haven't had the time to search for new websites to write for. Any suggestions?

I still do forum postings though as it's a bit easier to do, it's fun and doesn't take much of my time.

I see that some of you take paid surveys. What reputable paid survey sites would you recommend?

I can earn something like a regular salary from content writing by taking on longer writing assignments with cash out bonuses. These projects provide an assurance that I'm meeting my daily earnings target. However, I don't like putting my eggs in a single basket so I'm into several online earning as well. I'm doing transcription for two sites in between writing assignment and I'm a member of some paid forum posting sites. On some days where there are available jobs, I could be doing microtasking or usability testing. They all add up and provide for my needs and more.

As of now I am on the same boat as I have taken a break from my regular gig of freelancing graphic design. I'm in the process of learning some new skills I could hopefully get into after a month or two so I could transition into doing something else for a living. For now I am just doing some small tasks for money and the pay isn't that good but I'm hoping that learning a new skill can pay off in the future.

Freelancing is not the easiest place to be, contrary to popular belief. I think the trick is to look for your niche and do what works for you. Most people want to start today and be successful today, but we all know that's that's not the way things work. Identify an area you want to work in, learn the skills required be patient and go for it. Never give up even if you have a job or a business offline. Keep this as a side hustle if necessary. People that started online work a couple of years ago are making thousands of dollars per year because they stuck to it!

Besides writing online for my own blog, I also join forum sites that pays me, discussion sites and survey sites. I found that forum sites pays more and I could easily hit my daily goal without much problem. That is where I earn my earnings monthly. Although I do not make hundred per month, just tens only, I am satisfied with the earnings

My main line is providing content to forums. But I also dabble in article writing. However, I don’t have much time to spare because I have a full time office job so I chose forum posting over article writing. But when my schedule becomes better then I would probably write articles again. I am a member of several writing sites that I haven’t visited for some time now due to my tight work schedule.

Apart from writing web contents for my clients, I also publish contents on my blogs and websites. I am not earning enough from my blogs and websites, therefore, my current focus is on getting good paying assignments from my clients. I also do forum posting for quick forum. I post on paid to post forum and earn easy money. I also do affiliate marketing. I promote affiliate products on my blogs and websites. Since sometimes I am trying to earn as an SEO expert and wordpress expert.

So far, I write articles here and there. I also do some online tutoring, and some of my classes through the university i work at are also online, so I guess that counts as well. I do surveys here and there, and those can accumulate over time--I do enough of those to pay some of my utilities every month or to get gas money or other little expenses, etc. I do online journals where I publish poets and other writers, but these don't really pay, and I have not yet figured out how to make AdSense profitable at those writing sites just yet.

One time in my life I had a website that sent me on a Florida vacation. And it was around 1999~2000 and ever since that day I have tried to recapture that moment of glory. Other then that my online websites have earned little or nothing and I have been making websites and selling them or closing them down. However with my current website I promised myself to give it a 3 year run before deciding what to do with it after. And it is dead in the water right now and needs a revamp!

I actually work as freelancer part time. I do writing for my freelance work. My main focus is my online business. Online freelancing is just a source of extra income for me while I make my business stable. Still, a business is more profitable than an online job. I also have another part time freelance job, though it's an offline job. I just maximized the printer I have so I was able to monetize it. I print calling cards, flyers, tags, and other marketing materials for my clients. I sometimes design different layouts for their marketing materials too. I only do small jobs. I make sure that freelancing won't have a conflict with my business schedule. I suggest that you also explore offline freelancing by maximizing your resources in case you are having a hard time finding an online freelance job or start a small online business for an additional source of income. At least a business can earn you more than a living once it gets stable. I hope my suggestion helps. You might want to consider it.

At the moment, not much to be quite honest. Most of my income over the past few months has revolved entirely around content writing in one form or another. Whether it is freelancing, writing for content mills, or doing paid forum posting, almost all my money is from writing.

I do have a background in graphic design though, so occasionally when the opportunity presents itself, I work on some graphic design content for people. Sometimes I do video editing as well. However, the opportunities for that sort of work have been few and far between, given that I don't really pursue it anymore.

I'm looking to branch out further and start my own blog/website, so that hopefully one day I can establish a decent income from that as well and not have to rely on the fleeting nature of freelance work.

Creating your own Blogsite is a good idea. Bloggers depending on the niche are earning good these days. I'm an events blogger and now I'm trying to make it good blogging in the food and beverage niche.

Yeah, I’ve come to realize that blogging is definitely an endeavor worth investing in, especially as someone who simply enjoys writing to begin with. I’m aware of the harsh reality that it takes a long, long time before you start making any real income while blogging, but like I said, I already enjoy writing anyway so it doesn’t feel like such a struggle.

You go for the long haul when you get into blogging, and if nothing else it serves as great portfolio and exhibit for your writing abilities.

I hope you make great strides with your blogging project!

I'm managing with content writing that I do and as long as it has been sufficient to put food on my table, I've not bothered that much on going further, but it seems this post is an eye opener to learn other ways that I can make money as a freelancer at the moment.

I can with confidence say I have now joined every online money making scheme available in my country. While I certainly enjoy writing I tend to go blank when faced with any sort of pressure to do so. What makes it more interesting is the fact that I detest spelling/grammar errors in others writing so should be an expert (I am not). There are few writing sites where you can actually earn an income, there is no fast solution, At the moment I must admit I do so more for the opportunity to learn and grow,

I'm always on the lookout for online earning opportunities because I know that earning sites don't really last forever. I was lucky enough to be accepted for a slot in a micro tasking site that pays a lot more per hour than what I am currently receiving from my freelance work. The tasks are fairly easy but they pay a lot more than regular micro tasking site. Most of the workers are US-based which probably accounts for the higher rates. It's a whole new adventure for me. There are days when I can't even write because I have to devote my time to this site.
