Can freelancing replace my full time job?

Can freelancing replace my full time job?

I am to retire in 5 years time and I'm already preparing for that because I cannot imagine myself to be idle and not earning. I cannot consider myself an expert in writing but I can say that I'm good enough for an average freelancer. However, my daily earnings cannot be compared with my present salary since I only earn a dollar or 2 from my freelancing. In fairness to me, I only spend an hour a day understandably due to my office job. Now this question, can I earn more than $30 in a day if I will go full time in my freelancing? That amount can cover my daily expenses so my retirement pay will not be depleted.

Freelancing can definitely make you a good amount of money and replace your full-time job Can freelancing replace my full time job?

When I started off as a freelancer, I was just trying to make some extra cash and eventually, it turned into a full-fledged business. I didn't expect to make millions overnight, but in time I was making enough to pay all my bills and a little extra for going out with friends and saving up.

A lot of freelancers will quit their jobs as soon as they start making money online, which I would never recommend. What you'll have to do is build up your earnings over time and become an authority on whatever it is you're doing.

What you should do:
  • Set up a website for your services
  • Optimize your website for the search engines
  • Add massive amounts of content to your website
  • Never stop adding content
  • Add an email capture system like MailChimp and send out newsletters once a week
  • Keep your customer service top notch
  • Always over deliver on orders

Setting up your own freelancing website so you look like a full-fledged business will give you an authority within the nice over time. It won't come right away, but it will come eventually if you keep at it Can freelancing replace my full time job? Having your own website up and running for your freelancing service will make it so you don't have any competitors on the same site, selling similar services. You will get all the sales and not have to share a percentage with the platform you are on. However, you will have to pay for the design and hosting for the site, but that can be a small investment since you can use cheap hosting along with a premium WordPress theme and keep everything under $150.

When you have everything set up and optimized, you will now need to start advertising it. You won't get a bunch of traffic from the search engines right away because you're just too new right now. Advertising your site at the start, will get you your initial sales and bring in some profits. You will then need to bootstrap everything, re-investing your profits for more advertising, and make more sales. When you start to plateau, you can then start up a new website for a different service, and build that one up as well.

Over time, you will notice that you'll have 2 websites bringing in some cash and then 3, 4, 5, etc. The profits you can make from a month to month basis is only limited by you. If you stay diligent and constantly add content as well as optimize your ads, you can get traffic to your websites and keep it coming back through your email capture system Can freelancing replace my full time job?

As for retirement, it's definitely possible to just sit at your house and set up some orders or even pay someone else to do the work in your place, and you keep the profits. One of my favorite ways to make money online is to be the middleman, this is because I can work with some of the best service providers around the world and my name is still on the work that is being done Can freelancing replace my full time job? I pay them to do the work and I get all the glory Can freelancing replace my full time job? Being a middleman helps everyone out, you will get paid as well as the freelancer you're working with and the buyer will be happy with the results lol. If you're running something like this, you won't really be in retirement unless you can get a team set up to do the work as soon as it comes in, and all you have to do is collect a check at the end of the day. I'm still trying to set up this type of system so I can just get paid while managing a team, but it's extremely difficult to get enough dedicated team members to do quality work in the shortest amount of time.

I think you might be able to if you get in the right area. You obviously have a lot of experience in a particular niche. I think yours might be banking. You might be able to write for some financial websites and make 20 dollars a day from freelancing or maybe more. Especially you might want to concentrate on sites that have marketplaces all over the world.

Well, since you're talking about retirement then it will be a wise idea if you want to go full circle with freelancing instead of staying idle then you can be freelancing and you might be surprised at how much you can make from freelancing especially if you're serious.

Freelancing is good and can pay well, what you'll be needing is seriousness, commitment, passion and patience

If you are in the right areas and work hard at it you can. However, it really depends on doing things the right way. There are many options in terms of freelancing, some of them pay well and some do not.

I know someone from my country who has been feeding his family and providing for their need for seven years now by just doing freelance jobs full time as a writer. You really need to be established well in freelance career before you treat it as a full time job. And yes you can even make more than $60 a day in freelance as long as you get clients daily and they pay you well.

With something like this, the country you live in will also depend on whether freelancing can replace your full-time job. For example, the family that you are talking about may be perfectly fine with $60 a day because of how low the cost of living might be in that country. But over here in the United Kingdom, that would be extremely low and people would struggle to live on that, to be honest.

No, the $60 is just an additional point. The family I mentioned don't depend on the $60 a day. He makes more than $1500 a month as a freelance writer. And the cost of living in my country here is high together with the rate of unemployment. Anyone here who can be able to get that $60 or $45 a day will be happy because some real life jobs you can get in my place pays $45 a month. It is all about saving and investing and so the $60 a day is better than nothing.

Yes a lot of people who are into the writing jobs are doing it just fine. You can see that some of the time full time job is lot better. But we have to think of in terms of amount we earn per month. I have mostly sticking with the USD conversion. And that sometimes helps for earning. But overall it's not going to be any easy. I think freelancing does take time though. But you can slowly start working on it one project at a time.

Razzy above have given a lot better blueprint than any one of us can even comment on. I think if you take his comment and implement even 10% then you are on a good start. I have learned that freelancing can be a good option in that context. You can see that full time job is required before you take off with the freelancing. I have seen freelancers having time management issues too. But it seems to be that freelancing can slowly make things easier. But a lot of effort goes on to make things better once you get it right.

The truth here is that earning up to $45 a day freelancing is really hard to achieve online except you have a combination of money making programs that you do together. People are actually making between $45 - $45 a day freelancing at the comfort of their bedrooms and without spending a dime. This is approximately $1350 - $1350 a month. They simply make over 60% of this daily income from referral programs. Some freelance sites pay 10% - 20% commission on every referral that signed up free and got approved for posting while others don't include referral programs at all.

It actually depend on what kind of freelancing are you going to do because different jobs have different number of demands. I think that it will be best if you would try commissioned works so that the payment rate will be a bit higher than that of average freelancing. It is not guaranteed that you are going to earn $30 a day because the demand is not constant. You may have a lot of available jobs this day, and there's none the other day.

Freelancing is like any other job and should be treated that way. If you work it seriously and take care of your freelancing work then it can be done as full time job. Many people work as full time freelancers, so everyone else can. True there is a lot of determination involved, need experience, good knowledge and experience, but the point is that you can learn while you are part time freelancer and just turn it into full time job

Yes I believe that you can make $30 in a day if you work on the right sites, the forum site that you are working now is a potential site where you can earn more in a shortest time ( sorry I cannot mention it here ), other than that you can join Mylot, FC or Upwork

Freelancing can replace your fulltime job. However, you should not quit your job and get involved with freelancing. You should continue freelancing until you are able to earn decent amount by parttime freelancing. When you are quitting your job, make sure you have enough funds to go for three months even if you are not earning anything.
If you decide to do full time freelancing, you should consider developing skills.

I would have to agree with you on this. If you are looking at going into freelancing, make sure that you have a backup because it may not be for you or you might not be able to make the amount you need to live all the time. You may have a great month this month and then make nothing next month. Always make sure that you are prepared to do something else to make some money just in case.

Even if freelancing doesn't replace your job it will allow you the opportunity to work diligently on something that is important to you. To earn some extra money I'm working as a freelancer because I have the opportunity to work hard at something I enjoy and get paid for it. Honestly, I enjoy the work more than the money.

It's true that there is need to have that passion at what we do as freelancers so that we can be able to earn much more from doing so. I've seen people who are figured about making the money lose out at the end when there are less ventures to make money from the internet. So, it's necessary we look at freelancing as something we enjoy doing and not necessarily about the money we can make from it.

I think it is very possible and there can be more you could earn from online work if you devoted more than just an hour but I guess the downsides could be that you wouldn't get as much benefits from your job as you would if you were working on your own. However, possibly you could devote the time and come out earning way more and with that you could just compensate for the benefits you might be missing out on.

I agree with you that he needs to take the freelancing work quite serious, if there is any hope of him getting such a big amount of money per day. There is also need for him to spend more time looking for other avenues to earn more money on the internet as a freelancer as well.

On a more serious note, freelancing can never replace your full-time job. You should rather create your own website and optimize with the best SEO technology in the world which is the WordPress theme. By creating and publishing a WordPress theme enabled website, traffic potentials will build up in no time and you will surely make money with that website better than any other way.

In as much as I agree that at the beginning, it is going to be tough for a freelancer to earn such an amount of money in a day, I still don't think it's a challenge that's impossible to achieve since I've seen people make more than that per day as well.

I think it's going to be pretty tough to get a freelancing job that can pay you $60 in a day unless you have some basic skills like graphics designing and the rest. One good thing about having these skills is that they are going to enable you earn more while working on the internet unlike what we have with most of the writing jobs we see around.

Yes, I think it is possible.I think first you need to decide what to do. From your comment, it seems like your skill is in writing There are people who earn up to 200 dollars for an article. If I were you, I would upgrade my skills and take one or more writing courses.I would then try to get regular clients that you can write for.To do this you need to be able to write excellent content. With this, the sky is the limit.

Also, find ways to make passive income. Join Yoonla or the Wealth Affiliate . Both programmes teach you about Affiliate Marketing.

If you like selling you can sell on Amazon or eBay or even do drop shipping in addition to your other online activities.

In my opinion, if you are willing to learn and open your mind, there is so much you can do online.

I would suggest starting a business as soon as you get your bonus. Business is the best way to replace a job. It can sustain life better and you can even build wealth long term since it's a wealth vehicle in the first place. I've seen a lot of people get their time freedom with it. Even freelancers including me, are starting their own business and work part time as freelancers. Even celebrities and politicians have businesses. Business is what we all have in common because we know that it's something that we own and we have control with and we understand that a stable business can sustain life in 5-7 years. This is the right time to start a business especially in your case since you will give yourself five years to retire. You even have a good chance of putting your bonus to something that can generate income and replace your job. When you retire in 5 years time, your business might start to be stable as well. It's really perfect timing.

I will be receiving a substantial amount of retirement pay that maybe I could buy 2 houses that we can rent out in replacement of the lost income from my office job. That is the reason why I am into freelancing now as a preparation. I had 2 failed businesses before. The first one was a boutique which was doing good until I hit the overload of orders that I needed to borrow capital from lenders that charged me high interest rate. The second business was retailing computer supplies and we closed shop due to a problem with a business partner.

Freelancing can replace your full-time job. Eventually - but not right away. It also depends on what your freelancing services are, how much you charge, the type of clients you're attracting, and how much you're spending to get the word out about your small business.
