Do you ever upload 360-degree videos to YouTube?

I was just wondering how many people are actually making 360-degree videos. I've seen a few, but not many.

I have made a few with the Redmi 4A. But I am not adding much of them on youtube. The reason being often those videos require higher resolution. And in case of the mobile based panorama videos. They don't seem to add much value as well. But yes the value of such images is a lot in the market. I'd say anyone who is into travel blogging. They can surely try this type of the videos through youtube. From my experience there does not seem to be much traffic for such videos.

I agree that 360 video doesn’t add much value to the content because what’s important is the theme or the topic and not the panorama. Besides, yeah, the 360 video is panoramic so admittedly it requires a larger size. Big videos have an issue not only in the uploading but more for the slow access. When we are to upload a video on YouTube, we even compress the video so it will be convenient for the viewer with the faster display.

I think mostly the content from the trekking and the ocean specific videos may benefit from that. Drone footage is also not going to be much value in that case. You can see that uploading those type of the videos is not a good idea if monetization is what you seek. It can be used to sell on the stock video sites though.

I've watched a few but I don't really care too much for them. I think the only one that I truly enjoyed was the one where they divided into the ocean and you could look around to see all the sharks that were around them. Other than that, I just don't think they look that great or are that interesting. There is a lot of potential but I just don't think people have been utilising that feature as well as they could have

I think this idea is very interesting (there are a lot of creative people coming into this wave), but I don't know exactly why I haven't posted anything yet. I always end up watching many videos like this but I always forget to post my own projects.

Well... I have to put this on my "to do" list, haha!

I have never made such a video. If I'm honest the only reason why I got a Youtube account is so I can easily track and subscribe to people that I find interesting. I haven't uploaded any content myself. But I have seen a few of these 360° videos and they're quite entertaining to watch. I like to see how creative people are getting through the years. It's truly amazing!

These 360° videos do add that unique content to a design. Initially only Apple phones were promoting the 360° design but recently the feature has been promoted to many other gadgets. I like the panoramic view that it uniquely introduces to the display. I gather since it was not available in the early times for people who could have incorporated this feature into their projects it kinda lost the interest of professionals but it is slowly making a comeback so we will see what the future present in the now.

I enjoy watching those 360°. I have made only one such video till now but I have not uploaded it on YouTube. The latest 360° video that I saw was about Annabelle the horror movie. It was a good one I must say. In fact I have never considered to make such videos to post on YouTube. Now I got some ideas racing in my head due to this post of yours.

I watched a 360 degree movie a few days ago for a job I was hired to complete, a writing job. I think there's some potential there for an intriguing new, viewing experience. We'll see how it evolves in the next few years.

I have seen some videos on YouTube that are on 360 degree angle but It's part of their concept or content that they created, like the 360 is actually required on it. For me, my first impression or reaction, I would say is that it's a kind of refreshing thing on YouTube for me, because it's probably my first time seeing 360 videos and It's probably quite interesting for me. But some of the videos with 360 degree angle, seems a bit off or a big headache for me, Like it makes me dizzy and make my head and eyes hurt.

The 360 video is just a novelty because I can say that I don’t really enjoy watching it. Like you, I can get dizzy with that kind of surrealism although I know that it is not surreal at all. The angle of the shot has something to do with it and as I said it is just a novelty and not really a good type of video especially for the documentary videos. But that kind of video is good for a story video.

I can't watch too many of them. My eyes can't handle it.
