How many Twitter followers do you currently have?

Hey, everybody!

Today I have been looking at my Twitter followers number because I'm trying to increase it on my brand new account for affiliate purposes and I've just noticed that I've been getting quite many the last few days. I am currently sitting at 2346 followers in approximately a week. I am pretty happy and plan on increasing it even more.

I am curious how many Twitter followers do you guys currently have? So tell us your number and are you using the account for personal or business purposes. Are you happy with it?

Honestly! I have only 4 followers on twitter but it doesn't matter for me. Good for you, you have more 2k followers on twitter, how does it feel?

I stopped using twitter long time ago, but when I was active,. I had like 500hundred
Followers, but I didn't like Twitter, not because it's bad or that it's interface is poor.
It just don't catch my feelings, because am not the twit type.

I am some of my friends are also in the same boat. My reason for the inactive account in Twitter is that I am not in the habit of posting short messages. I can do that in Facebook so why the need for Twitter. As with my friends who are out of Twitter their reason is that they are not comfortable with the tweets as if they just there to spread rumors. One of my friends has a thousand followers but he does not mind it at all.

I only have a personal Twitter and I don't use it very often, so I only have 25 followers on it. I've considered sharing my photography portfolio through Twitter as well to see if I can get in with the photography crowd there. Right now my Twitter feed is almost exclusively political stuff, and it's getting tiring for me.

I tend to focus more of my efforts on Facebook and Instagram. I don't know why, but Twitter has never been my preferred social media platform.

Keep yourself in the eye of the people who share the same interest as you or in the same area as the business you're trying to promote. Twitter is nice because you can Tweet multiple times a day and people won't necessarily get tired of seeing your stuff like they might on Facebook.

For instance, I've started trying to get more followers with my photography on Twitter. I'll post a picture or two every day and accompany the post with several hastags that are relevant to what I'm posting. My putting hastags related to photography on my photographs, it shows up in other people's searches and such, and I've started to see people following me. Not a whole lot so far, I've gained 4 or 5 followers in the past couple days, but I'm not pushing my account as much as other people would if they were serious about gaining followers.

I don't want to BUY followers.

How did I end up with 4 Twitter accounts? Long sad story. Blogs were deleted, sites shut down, etc. I don't want to talk about it.

But! On the positive note, found out accidentally that Twitter is OK with people having multiple accounts.

So since I had them I kept them!

I think that I have about approximately 1500 at this point. I need to work on increasing this, to be sure, but I admit it is my fault that I do not have more followers because I need to be more disciplined about building up my account there. However, I can attest to the fact that Twitter has really boosted my blog traffic, so I think it is worthwhile to nurture and take care of these accounts.

I have around 500 followers and most of those I got from my blog. The Twitter account is mainly for my blog and not really a personal account, and despite the low number, I am fairly happy with it since it was organically grown and I know that majority of those followers are real people and they followed on their own to keep updated with my content and announcements. I do plan on buying some services in the future to increase my followers or maybe just market my site better to gain those new followers, but I want to do that after I do the major changes I plan on doing first.

It's good to hear that you have over 2000 followers. Were they all legitimate followers or were some from Twitter follower exchange sites and follow/follow exchanges? I only use Twitter as a personal account so I have around 200 followers and I know most of them in real life. I have a few followers that I don't know but I think most people will have a few random people following them for no apparent reason.

I only have about 50 followers give or take. I don't use Twitter on a consistent enough basis to have more followers. I wish that I did have more, but I don't use Twitter all that often so it is not a be and end all for me. I would like to have more people interested in what I have to say.

I have 6300 followers on my twitter account and I follow 400 twitter accounts. sadly, some of my twitter followers are bots. When I share contents on twitter, I get 100 visitors to my website within an hour.

Oh, wow. That's a pretty nice followers base! Can I ask how did you get so many? Did you buy them? Used the traffic exchange sites or just manually following specific people? I'm trying to expand to way more but I am mainly interested in active, real followers rather than bots.

That's quite a lot. 6300 followers is an amazing number of followers to have although it is a real shame that some of the twitter followers are bots. The fact that you get 100s of visitors to your website when you share content onto your Twitter account is amazing and even more so that it is all within an hour. Have you thought about spelling sponsored tweets? You could make quite a decent amount by tweeting content that people want to be shared?

I deleted my personal account on Twitter a while ago. I do, however, have a business Twitter account for sending social media traffic to my blog and affiliate links. Currently, it has roughly 1.5k followers. Of which 50%-60% of them are active. So it still plays a major part in my overall schedule.

I'm not really a twitter person in as much as I have an account with the social media platform and always try to check out my followers on the site. I think I currently have 50 followers and some of the followers are my coursemates in the college that uses Twitter as well. I prefer being active on facebook anyway for it is quite convenient for me. I have been using Facebook for six years now and don't see any reason to leave the platform yet.

I use Twitter for advertising purposes but I am finding it a bit difficult to get followers on my account. I advertise my products on different sites and I have been more successful on Facebook. I actually have about 300 followers on Twitter.

One friend said that for you to gain a good number of followers is to have a popular name. So if you are a celebrity, you already have the upper hand in that game. But for ordinary people like us, you have to exert effort in being noticed with your tweets. Make it interesting all the time and don’t forget to retweet because retweeting is like a courtesy to the one who tweeted. And if you still cannot get a good number of followers, you might as well post something controversial just to get attention.
