What Is The Story Behind Your Username?

I'm a buyer on seocheckout, so I decided to combine the words "seocheckout" and "buyer".  "seocheckoutbuyer"  was taken, so I reversed it.

I named myself after this guy:
What Is The Story Behind Your Username?

Why? Mmmm, if I could have any personality, it would be his. He's kind of my role model. Sometimes I go by Hikin33t instead which is also inspired by this show.

The show is called "kono suba", just fyi.

Hi there,
Thanks for your interesting query. I created account almost 5 years passed. In that time I was almost new on freelance market place. Though I started work 3 years before from Seocheckout sign up. I had no many sense to write my user name. I thought I will be build my career as a freelancer and this profession for me forever. reality actually happens. That is why I used lancer in my user name. And 'A' I collected from my name and first character is 'A' and ' J' I used from my wife name and first character is 'J'
So, over all I named my user name 'AJlancer'. But, this days I feel it was very appropriate and now it is very known name on online. You will see many page and service on google , if you search on internet.

Regards by Ajlancer

I thought all along that you got your profile name from the car by Mitsubishi which is the model called Lancer. It was very popular here a decade or 2 ago and it is not unusual for people to use that name. With the coined letters from the name of family members, that is the usual approach when naming a business or a new product. But I guess your username is easier to remember than the others here.

I always find it fascinating learning how or why people use certain usernames so I will keep my eye on this thread What Is The Story Behind Your Username?

Anyway, my name doesn't really have any big or amazing story behind it. It's rather simple. I first wanted to name myself ''Tron'' after the movie but it was taken so I went with Tron-ia = Tronia. It didn't sound too bad... sort of catchy so that is what I ended up with.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Tron from 1982 or 2010? I've seen the newer film, and it was good. I love Jeff Bridges What Is The Story Behind Your Username?. I haven't seen the old Tron.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
Lol--I love Jeff Bridges too--he's amazing. He made me cry in the movie Crazy Heart, to be sure. I think "Tronia" is a cool name, actually. It should be its own name for a character in a sci-fi film.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Tronia
Haha, after the Tron from 2010. I have never seen the 1982 one. Is it completely different than the newer version or?

I think the 2010 is called Tron Legacy or something similar. I know that it isn't the most current movie but I really enjoyed it. The whole story and the animation effects were mind blowing! And of course, Jeff Bridges. A great actor ;)

Farashi, I felt somehow reading answers here and realising people don't use their original names online. I am using my real name here, Mary and the c is my username. How naive.

The name I use most often is just a derivative of my first and last name. I also use part of my email address sometimes as a user name. It is easy for me to remember. I don't try to get too clever with my user name.

My username has no history at all. It just came up in my mind. It reflect my personality because I get easily mad. I am a hot tempered man. lol.

Haha, that is similar to the way I came up with my username to be fair. Not this one but the one that I use on most of the forums that I join. It's kingcool52 and I just came up with two words: "king" and "cool". So I thought I would put them together and it would be a pretty good username. Unfortunately, that was taken on the first forum I joined so the number 52 just came into my head so I went with it.

My username is basically my own name, ie Hermes Santos

giovanniiiii
Using just giovanni would not be enough because it is likely that it has been taken already. I got the idea of using five letter i's at the end of the name because my friend used akiraaaaa. It wasn't a very original idea but I needed a username right away at that moment. Until now this is the username I have been using.

When I was younger I use the username "lakiulo1" which translated to big head. My cousins have been calling me that so I stuck with using it for MMORPG games that we used to play.

I have only one username in all the forums that I participated ever since. Corzhens is a merging of my first name and surname which is Corazon Henson. I thought of this username just to be a little unique so other writers would easily remember me. There is only one forum that I used my full name because it required 2 names for the username.

I always wondered what your username was all about. It sounded quite mysterious. Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag. I also notice you have kept the same username for all our activities. I also noticed you have kept the same avatar.

My username was coined from the first letter of my name; Josh. I was inspired by the code name 'Agent J" given to Will Smith in the movie titled; Men in Black. So I came about the name "Jeiss" from the sound you get when you try to pronounce the first letter of my real name.

My username is a combination of two colors; peach and purple. Nope those are not my favorite colors. Those are my son's favorite colors. That was 8 years ago.You can see my username every corner of the sites that I participate; Hubpages, Blogjob, Bubblews, Literacybase, Forumcoin, Seocheckout, Payperpost, Postloop and many more.

Actually, I like real person usernames. They make the poster seem more personable and easy to talk to. Adding a real person photo also helps. At one time, I had my photo for avatar and removed it. I guess most people don't use real name and/or photo online for privacy reasons. If you are concerned for privacy sake about using your real name on the forum, just contact the support desk to ask for username change. What Is The Story Behind Your Username?

Beverly,
Well, my whole name isn't up there, and there are tons of Milfords out there, but I already have a web presence and what-not because of writing, editing, publishing, etc., so I didn't feel like this place was that much different than what I was already putting myself out there for. I want to present myself honestly and professionally and to develop myself as a "brand" to a degree, so here I am.

Well, I have a blog and my blog started as Golden Touch. I love gold as jewerly and even more as a color... I use it for everything I can and most of my outfits include something gold. My user name is mostly formed from the requirement to have one that is not currently in use by someone else. Therefore, it boils down to an effort of trial and error until I might get one which is acceptable.

SimplyD
Me, being simple in most ways, I created my username. I used Simply to describe me, with a name that starts in letter D. Thus, SimplyD is my name on writing sites I joined. My avatar is that green hooded girl as always when I am still new in a site. But that could eventually be replaced by my recent picture.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

My username as one can see does not require any deciphering. It is crystal clear (lol). I must confess I have several usernames and I like it that way. Only recently I decided to retain this name for all forums that I am handling through postloop and TWF. Even my avatar is different for different sites but for these two gateway forums I have kept the same avatar.

Transformers energeon episode has one airplane autobot. And the name of that autobot is overcast. So my username comes from that. Most of my usernames are usually based on the transformers or any other comic character names. And that's how I am using the overcast username. That's the origin of the username.

DenisP
My username is about as simple as it gets. It is just my first name with the first letter of my last name at the end. I typically go by the username Denis_P but Seocheckout didn't allow me to use an underscore, so I just went and combined them. I used to have plenty of fancy usernames and such, but recently I decided I'm going to kind of "grow up" and just start using my regular name. Sure it takes the whole anonymity aspect down a notch, but I feel it's good in some ways because it makes me more cautious about what I say on the internet as opposed to just spouting nonsense.

I have an alias name that I use on some sites. It looks like a normal first and last name, but it's not my actual name.

My username comes from the sequel of the famous novel Gone with the Wind. The sequel is called Scarlett, written by Alexandra Ripley. In this novel, famous Scarlett O'Hara leaves America and goes to Ireland to find her relatives. The novel is about how the character begins again, she is transformed by the support of her ancestor's land and family. I love this novel due to the fact it shows you can begin again, and I felt in love with Ireland even though I've never had the honor and pleasure to be there, the writer describes it beautifully, like you want to pack a bag and buy a ticket there that same moment. In the novel, Scarlett finds and old property called Ballyhara, which means Valley of the O'Hara, and if you want to know what happens there, then go read the novel, I bet you guys will like it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Beverly
That's a really amazing story. I knew about the sequel but have not read it yet. I was always worried it would be contradictory to the essence of the original (movie) version. Though I remember when this book was published, the author was talking about how difficult it was to actually be allowed to write the novel as they had to be interviewed by this panel of elderly gentlemen in charge of the original writer's estate - who (were very oldfashioned/old South) and wanted to ensure the author didn't besmirch the good name of Gone with the wind by publishing salacious content. What Is The Story Behind Your Username?

I had no idea the storyline took the character so far from her roots. I have always wanted to visit those areas too, they seem so tranquil and old world. Might check into this book if it's available on Amazon.

Well, Beverly, in fact, Gone with the Wind has been one of my favorite books ever, when I discovered there was a sequel, I was a little bit scared it would change the whole essence of the plot. But in the end it turn out really great, I've always wanted to visit Ireland due to this book, the way is described, the family ties, the food, the environment, it was like traveling there. Also, you see how Scarlett is transformed into a new person, she re discovers herself. Try to find it, read it, then we can talk about it. Someday I hope I can go to Ireland in person too.

I've been entertaining myself for a while reading all your stories of how you choose your username ! Some of them are really funny and interesting.
