What do you think about fashion blogs?

Fashion blogs are now very common to see. There's even fashion bloggers that work with the biggest firms around the world and make of their blog a full time job. But ... do you think fashion blogs are useful? Did fashion blogs actually help us or is it just for entertainment?

Er, I am not a big fashion blog reader. I don't really see the whole point of it. I don't know if people read it then follow whatever the blogger says or what? I always had my own dressing style... I never spent a ton of money on brand new clothes or a particular clothing line. If I liked a clothing item I simply bought it.

Also, I feel like certain fashion lines aren't very ''wearable'' in everyday life. If you ever watched a fashion show over the television or reality life, you know that some creations are absolutely ridiculous.

But I do know that you can make it big with a good fashion blog because there will always be women that want to stay ''hip'' and follow the trends

Like you, I don’t really care about fashion. To be honest, I am more comfortable in wearing slacks that’s why I wear that in the office instead of the skirt. But with a fashion blog, I know of some fashion bloggers who are going places with their blogs. I was actually invited by one such blogger who is my friend in Facebook. But I don’t have the passion for writing about fashion so I did not take the offer.

It always is useful but it requires more works and offers, to be honest i built a fashion blog but it is a field that I am not good at thus I could not compete with others.

I think the fashion is saturated and it needs more advertising if you want to drive traffic to a new fashion blog, that will consume more money unless you are a model and an expert in this field.

I think fashion blogs are quite interesting. I've recently been hired to work on article curations where I work on this fashion blog and I think it's good. It's a lot more fun than I thought as it makes me realize how terrible my personal everyday get-up was and how terrible I looked in them. It also helps me sharpen my skills as to what is a tasteful fashion and what is not.

Fashion blogs are useful. As long as there's a demand for it. It will always be useful.

There are people who are fashion fanatics and they browse these kinds of blogs usually. As long as they are present, they will always be here and I don't see anything wrong with that.

For me, it is an important aspect of life so it is useful. I am not so fashionable, but I see to it that I dress nicely according to occasions.
I go to work on weekdays so I have to dress in a corporate manner, I also attend events and should have appropriate clothes, bags and shoes.
These fashion blogs help us to know what are those that we have to wear on such occasions, what are the accessories, shoes, and bags that are appropriate.
Not only that fashion blogs also teaches us how to be fashionable without getting our clothes and accessories to be so costly.
I love fashion blogs.

Yes,fashion blog helps a lot. You can get latest update about trending looks, occasion looks and many more. Fashion blog helps one know the clothing that suit him by descriptions, and body type coupled with complexion . I personally use fashion blogs to know people say about a particular fashion and also know the price range for that particular material. I guess everyone wants to dress well. With fashion blogs I dress good saving cost.

I actually really love fashion blogs! I could spend hours and lose trackof time when I’m watching them. I start in one blog and then end up visiting 3
more. Answering your question I think both, I found them useful and also entertaining
to watch. Also I found better adds/products on them because the blogger usually
uses the products and that’s why they recommend them.

I have read all of your feedback guys. I agree with you when you say most of the ones that started by being only fashion bloggers have transitioned to lifestyle bloggers. I think that because lifestyle blogging is nowadays way more popular.

I think if you have enough contacts then that can be a good option for you. You can make money from the promotion and the leads. I have seen some of the bloggers getting good exposure on the instagram too. So it depends on how you wish to get conversion. Some of the time it works and some of the time it's not that easy.

I haven't looked at any fashion blogs, but I do look at the fashion section of a website like Pinterest. I basically wear what looks decent and is comfortable, but it is good to know about other fashions and what is currently popular and considered to be in style.

I think it's nice to scroll through them once in a while, but they're just not interesting enough for me to follow daily or even any kind of regularly. Fashion just doesn't capture my attention enough for that. It's nice to be in the loop when it comes to anything, but it just doesn't get to take up that much time and attention from me. They're a great thing or people who have a passion for that kind of thing, but I'm just not one of them.

I personally think that fashion blogs are helpful. For me, there have been fashion blogs that helped me to improve on my dressing by providing tips and secrets (like guidelines on wearing colored socks for instance). The fact that they also have entertainment value is just an added advantage. However, you should be careful about the fashion blogs you visit. While some are useful, others just waste your time.

You may get monetary benefit if you attach yourself to some well known fashion designers and write blogs for them. Your individual blog could be just read by a few who are interested but I do not know if you will earn from them.

The US market value of the fashion industry is valued at $ 385.7 billion. Even if only 0.01% of that is captured by fashion blogs, it is still quite a sizeable amount. But as some have pointed out above, hard work is still needed before any fashion blogger ever sees profitability.

I have been following fashion blogs for a very long time. My mom is a designer and the reason why I have been following those blogs is to be aware of the recent trends in the fashion industry. We participate in fashion shows yearly and those blogs have allowed me to get ideas about the latest trends concerning the dresses, hairstyles and makeup. There also tips concerning how to get a better skin or nails which interests me.

I think they're useful in some aspects. I'm not too fashionable, but it's nice to have a sort of guide on what to wear. I really enjoy the ones that give you easy to put together outfits and tell you where you can get the outfit for a little less.

I think fashion blogs are cool. Personally, I have gained a lot from visiting fashion blogs. I used to be one who doesn't dress with a fashion sense. For me back then, anything just goes but that has changed dramatically over these past few months. It was from my readings from a fashion blog that I got to know that wearing a striped shirt together with a striped pair of pants could be disastrous and the same time could be an eyesore in the fashion world.

Fashion blogs help in keeping and changing trends nowadays, since bloggers make their thoughts and opinions available to the public. Surely these articles will influence some viewers and may follow on the clothing trends. People will then see these clothing trends and so on. It's a series of cause and effect and this is an important factor in the Fashion industry.

I love fashion. It's a thumbs up from me for fashion blogs. How else do you find out what the latest fashions are? They are so many designers and there is something new every season, it's really hard to keep up on your own. I watch a 15 minute fashion vlog on Youtube every week, to know what's trending and I'm good. I would say fashion blogs are useful. It's worth noting some of these blogs are now worth a lot of money because they have a lot of traffic. Some have even started their own fashion lines because of their popularity. Fashion blogs are nothing to frown down upon.

I have a fashion blog and it is on lingerie niche. I will be soon converting this blog to an ecommerce site. Since the blog features pictures of models in bikini, I cannot use adsense because it is against adsense policy to use adsense on the website that has scantily dressed women. Since I am not allowed to use adsense, I have limitation on monetizing, therefore, I am thinking to sell products from this blog.

I have a friend in social media who has a blog about fashion. When she launched it, I was invited as a special guest but I was not able to attend. Anyway, she is doing good with the traffic of her blogs and in its 3 years of existence, it looks like she is earning good for my understanding is that blog is her livelihood now. But writing a fashion blog is not that easy because she goes places in attending events related to her niche. That’s also an added income to her when she receives sample products.
