Is earning money online now more difficult?

Okav1ator

Oh for sure, I would definitely say that making money online these days is much harder than even a couple years ago. I've noticed this myself with my freelancing business. Now I've been having to put much more effort into social media marketing to separate myself from all the other countless freelancers.

Yes. If you don't have skills or niches it would be difficult. But there are still a lot of ways on how to earn more money online. There are actually a lot of posts here in our community forum on how to do it.

It's because of the high competition compared with the past, It's all about the skills, hard working and the strategy. For example if you have your own strategy, It's not like if you do the same what other people do, very big difference.

Very big difference indeed. These competitions makes it even more difficult. Having your own strategy and and coming up with your best niche that other's don't have. Sometimes you gotta rely on your skills more, than on what other people are saying.

That's true, and the majority of people who look to earn money always look for the easy ways. Because they want to see the results fast, and they think that if they focus on something, maybe they will just loose time, the possibility if that business will success or not... Even there is no fast way to earn money, and they waste much time looking for that ways.

Hardship about larger competition in freelancing is same as in any other business, like if you operate your own coffee shop, but with freelancing you are on international market and sure it's not easy.
I am not sure why it should be easy in compare to other businesses Is earning money online now more difficult?

Is earning money online now more difficult?

That's why you have to do your freelancing professionally and operate it like any other business if you wish to survive and get enough jobs to earn enough money!!! If you have your qualities about services you provide then don't fear the competition, just do your best. Use real business strategies and you will beat out thousands of kids who "playing freelancing" at any price.

It is sad to say that there is an excess of supply that freelancers are now having a problem with the supply of work to do. One freelancer said that his analysis of the situation may be brought about by social media that people are losing the interest to read serious matters. With the writing jobs, it is definitely the oversupply of writers that until now the cost of writing content is very cheap.

Getting job online is difficult more than ever now. On a part with increase number of internet users that seek job online and yet there's no increase in demands for online jobbers. And in the second part which is the most disastrous is that there's increase in fake and scam platforms to earn money online. And many people seeking to earn online are finding it difficult which platform to go with.

No I don't think so. If you know How to work than online money earning is simply easy. I have worked in various marketplace and achived lot of experiences. I learned that if you want to do any online job than first ask yourself, what are you in good at. If you know the answer than find similar marketplace. suppose,I am a content writer and copy writer also. Always I searched for job but I have never found trusted job where I will paid timely and My transaction of money will be safe also. Then suddenly one day I have found a site named Contentmart . It is a large marketplace for content writer and copy writer. And also useful for that person who searching for copywriter. I am giving the best solution for both, client and worker. Just register in this site and place your bid. I think If you are good enough in English than you will find great job here.
so, now tell me, is that writing is impossible? Everybody knows how to read and write. But this is true that the competitor increased now a days.

I think earning money online has become really difficult. No matter how hard you try and write content, your content may get blocked with the adblocker. And this means no earning from the ads. You have to rely on the other means. I think adblocking will kill most of the business. And people will be forced to get into the freelancing. And that seems to be the future of the people who are creating the content online.

Online market is one good business but requires traffic just like the offline market. I think that way you can see that it's not easy. Easy business doesn't exist. It's just supply and demand. If we can keep up with that then yes well and good.

I think with adblocker people are forced to be creative. Most of the adblockers have moved the people into patreon. And companies like adsense are into trouble. Maybe the writing jobs are getting scarcer due to the overflow of writers. Online earnings by writing is very popular because there are forums that tackle this topic where they post sites that pay to post and other earning methods. And I think the growth of earnings site is much lower than the growth of the number of writers. I believe that there are writers earning so much although generally we earn just a little because of too much competition.

Yes it can't be denied that there are many writers now everywhere. But your earning as a writer depends on the quality of the writing you can give to your client. I always wanted to know how people do it when they sell products online. I saw a video some time ago, I think it was called drop shipping or something. It was really interesting but there are a lot of consequences if you are not really careful. You'd be skeptical at the first time but when you get the hang of it though, it'll seem to be easy, so they say. But I also heard you need a reputation to on that market or wherever you wish to do buy and sell products.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

thart

There is two kinds of that, one is drop shipping and the other is shopify. Shopify is that you have your own online market and drop shipping is to buy products in ebay. You can find the products in amazon for example, products in your niche thet put it in ebay : picture and information, and if someone buy it from you then you will buy ir from amazon and fill the adress of your customer and they will ship it to him. It's easy you just need to follow some rules in the begining and everything will be fine. Personally i know some people who earn a good money that way, and I'm thinking to start soon.

First you need a verified Paypal relied with your bank account, And then creat an Ebay seller account, find a good niche to work on it. This method is drop shipping and it not need much money to start, I know some people who start with only 10 Dollars. You can search about it on YouTube for more information. And about Shopify is that you creat an online market, but it need some money in the begining, maybe around 300 Dollars at least.

I think if you start selling expensive products you will face that problem. But if you start in the begining with a cheap products and you think about how to make the buyer buy from you, for example you can offer a suprise for people who will buy from you ( just a small surprise; 1 dollar or less ) i think it's a good way even you don't have any reputation.

I would say that in general it is harder to earn money online, and that's simply due to the fact that the environment is absolutely saturated with people looking to make a quick buck. But it isn't too difficult to work around that issue. Given the fact that a lot of these people are looking to make a quick buck, it isn't all that hard to beat the competition if you are truly passionate about what you do. Someone who has put years into their craft, knows all the ins and outs, and knows how to market themselves well is guaranteed to stand out among a crowd of people just looking for easy money.

I would have to agree with this. The content mill where I had been regularly picking up writing jobs for the last three years is experiencing a slack season probably due to the many competitors on online job sites. While there are still available jobs for writers with higher ranks, newbies will find it difficult to prove their skills because of the dearth of available jobs on the site. One has to be creative and innovative to stand out. It's never safe to put all your eggs in one basket. It's safer and healthier to develop multiple income streams both online and offline.

My experience with earning money online has been a hard lesson learned. I first started with freelance writing. It was a site that paid per article views. It was $10 for 1000 views. From there I tried to build my own affiliate marketing websites. I built, deleted and built again. My sites are still there. But the income generated was next to nothing. I blame myself for not knowing how to attract traffic to the sites.

My next work-at-home was joining online writing and blogging communities that have a revenue-share plan or social sites that pay you for your activity (like blogging, commenting, etc.). I am earning from these social sites. But it's not what I want as a primary online income stream.

So my response to your question as to whether it's more difficult “now”? No. Not for me. I'm still struggling each day like I've been doing for the past 5+ years. I know the competition is fierce and my learning curve is steep. But there's no way I'm going to wake up each day and not to try make some money. Is earning money online now more difficult?

Hi there
Thanks for query. I part agree with your title. Yes! earning money always difficult for anyway, not only for online business. Nobody will not give you any tiny amount without exchange something. But, if you have proper skill, you should find the way of earning online even locally. Many of newbie freelancer, thinking earning money too easy online by doing few simple task and that is why they come to do freelancing. But, they do not know, here and in this profession over 99% job mainly skill based. After trying some day or month they go away and getting lot of frustration. Again, if you gain god skill, it is not too hard to earn money by online job. No doubt about that, online one of the giant source of earning money. Many people earning money just do fun. But, you have to know the way. Here, on Seocheckout many seller earning lot of money each and everyday, just by doing few simple task. So, earning money online, it will be difficult to you when you are not skillful.

I would say it is difficult to get money both online or offline, it doesn't hang on the trees. But more than being difficult, I would say is slower than what people wants it to be. Nowadays you can find a lot of platforms online to earn some money, wide range of ways to make from cents to hundreds. What is the big issue? Usually with those platforms people need to invest a lot of time, hours of their days to earn about maybe $75 a week. So, yes you can stay home and make some money, but is not going to be enough to support your living. Spending time on a part job everyday at least will help you out with the bills.

Earning online Is difficult If you do not have the skills but if you do then it's much easier. I notice that you are talking about freelancing and it is true that Asian countries like India and Bangladesh have people that will work for lower prices but this is not everything. Language barriers and sub-standard work can be a problem, not always but sometimes it happens. There are sites like Upwork,Guru etc on which you can get decent money on projects but I think members should add services here on Seocheckout. If you are expert in any field then I would suggest that you list your skills on this platform. If you are an expert in your field then work on platforms but if you are not then start working for easier jobs but I would suggest to also enroll in online or offline course(s) to improve skill sets, become an expert in your field and you will do well. It is much easier to earn a good amount of money these days if you are a Pro.

I don't think is "more difficult" I just think there's more and more competition to get a job. You just need to deliver your best and the clients would always prefer you. Indians and africans are really hard workers, that's why they get the job. You can pretend having it easy every time. Sometimes you just have to push yourself a little harder, improve your skills, maybe learn a new language, that's going to make the difference and it's going to open up a bunch of opportunities.

At first you have know about yourself. you ask yourself, what kind of work you are capable to do? When you will find your answer after that you have to search for marketplace. Suppose you are good in English. Than you can earn easily by content writing and copy writing. There is a site named Contentmart, which brings a great opportunity for copy writers and content writers. You can easily work there and earn a lot amount of USD. It is the easiest way to earn. Otherwise there are also various marketplace for graphics designer and web developer.
