    The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing

    The advantages of online marketing usually outweigh the disadvantages of online marketing, but the disadvantages are what make people quit and focus more on building their business while outsourcing the work to a credible company.

    When it comes to online marketing there is a lot that people don't know.  A lot of people out there, more than you would imagine, think that online marketing is just you posting a link on Facebook in order to get traffic to your websites or a clients lol.  If you think that, I'm here to burst your bubble and let you know that there's a lot more involved and it could be brutal if you can't handle the fact that you have to do more than play on Facebook all day lol.

    You write your schedule
    This is one of the better perks of working online, you'll be able to write up your own schedule or ignore it completely.  In the past I didn't use to have a schedule because I didn't have many responsibilities other than getting some work done.  Now I have a family and I have to set time aside for them as well as work.  It's a juggling game but I have it down to a sort of science and can get work done during specific times that I schedule all while hanging out with my family during the day as well The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing

    You're in charge
    When it comes to online marketing, you're in charge of what happens unless you outsource the work to a company that specializes in it.  You can take the time to do your own marketing and get in touch with all your potential clients.  You can answer all of your own emails and be the boss when it comes to your website and company. 

    Some people want to take this a step further and bring people in to do the work that they don't want to and this would essentially make them the boss of the website or job The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing 

    Freedom to work anywhere
    A lot of people get pulled into online marketing because it gives us freedom to work from wherever we want.  One of the reasons I was drawn to online marketing was because all I needed was an internet connection and a laptop and I could work.  I was seeing a lot of people work while they were on vacation, but they were actually just traveling to places they wanted to visit while working.  It wasn't so much a vacation rather than them just getting away and still making an income The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing

    Potential to make a lot of money
    This is the main reason get pulled into working in the online marketing field.  They are chasing the chance to become an online millionaire because they see movies like the social network and think it's possible for them.  I'm going to bring you back down to search right now and tell you that it's extremely difficult to do this lol.



    The Disadvantages of Online Marketing


    Time Invested
    When it comes to working in the Online Marketing world, you need to invest a ton of time to become successful.  Hell, there are people working 16 hours a day to become successful online and they still haven't achieved their goals.  You will have to stick with it for a long time before you become successful, and that's a big reason a lot of people get turned off from going full time into online marketing.

    You're responsible
    If something goes wrong, it's no ones fault but your own.  You can't blame Google, Yahoo! or Bing for messing up one of your methods.  You can't blame your competitors for taking your idea and running with it.  It's all on you if something goes wrong and you have to shoulder that responsibility.  If you can't take a hit, you will be out of the game before you know it.

    You need to be disciplined
    Not a lot of people think of having discipline when it comes to Online Marketing because it's still similar to the Wild West lol.  If you don't show some sort of discipline with Online marketing you will likely be losing to your competitors.  You need to boostrap your earnings and never stop pushing your website to greater heights.

    You can become greedy
    Many people who started working online have gotten greedy and they burn out quicker than you would think.  They fly too close to the sun and are done before they can see the true potential of what they're working on.  Usually this is due to someone making a good amount of money online and spending most of it on pointless things like houses and cars.  Then when they have a bad month, they're out of business The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing




    In Conclusion:
    If you want to get into online marketing you will need to know the ups and downs before you dive in.  You can't be cocky and spend your money on whatever you want because you'll just make more, that's how people fail.  You will need to stick with it in good times and in bad, just like marriage and you will prevail for the best usually The advantages and disadvantages of Online Marketing

    Hi Razzy your article is very informative. I agree that the biggest advantage of online marketing is the freedom to work from wherever we want and we will be able to write up our own schedule. When I start any business I like to see only the advantages and not the disadvantages because that would make me to back up.
    Trying online marketing is not easy at all, because there is a high competition, and when you are a beginner you must built your trust first. You must work a lot and have no expectation, to succeed in such business!

    Online marketting is beneficial because It makes it easy due automated systems to advirtise and some good days You can get traffics, and sell immediately, It is cheap and has all facilities Every one can find his way in Thanks to Social media now people can do their own marketing, and free websites and blogs which made it possible to start without almost nothing.

    Hi Razzy thanks for gather good information for online marketing as adventures or disadvantages. I read your all points and you really you putted some good knowledge base information there. I agree as people think online marketing is big freedom instead of traditional work. But, people may do not think first they are not freedom on self responsibility. Which is most importance for success of online business or marketing. Though, this liability for physical or online business. You tried to extract all in shortly between your all points.     This is a good source of information for those wanting to start a business with online marketing.

    I had a boutique once but it did not prosper. And now I am contemplating to go with the bandwagon of dropshipping. This is the selling of goods online where you act like an agent for a supplier. When there is an order, you forward the same to the supplier and he handles the delivery. After payment, you are paid the commission or the overprice, depending on your arrangement. Another thing that's holding me is the time. As stated in the original post of this thread, you need to invest time which I don't have much at the moment.

    Certainly avoid getting on the greed train, you might never recover from it. Always make feasible target and if you know you are not well set up to go for a goal just focus more on building your self to be ready when next the opportunity present. And never be too money focused, you might miss your mark.

    Today's online marketing becomes easier. There are online systems today that can be use in automating the processes so you don't need to spend more time in doing your online business. There are automated systems that handles the inquiry, purchases, and accepts payments of the customers so you will only have the minimal work to do. If the automated has been set up, it would give you more time to do other business stuffs.

    I still see online marketing as that time saver and quick income earner, the stress is less when you do online marketing and you get to have enough freedom to do whatever you want more than daily marketing.

    To achieve this you work to work hard to improve the site and generating traffic, you can get people to do the whole process for you while you pay them for their rendered services, there is more advantage to online marketing than disadvantages.

    With the shifting of commerce to the internet I guess online marketing will be the dominant factor in the commerce of man. Naturally there are more advantage in online marketing particularly the cost and the ease of doing the promotion of a product or service although with the disadvantages come the mistakes particularly in dealing with the potential customers properly.
