    Good stats... Interesting too. And most of all, it's good to know things like this when you preparing some social media marketing campaign, so you know how to prepare your advertising and which group of people you can target on each of these social networks.     There is an article in the technology section that I had read about using the social media for advertising the products and services in lieu of tv ads that is exorbitant. When I was reading it, I realized that I had been seeing advertisements of food products that I used to see on tv but now they are mostly in Facebook. Perhaps it is the sign of the times that there will be a paradigm shift soon that big time advertisers will turn to social media.

    Yay, more facts, and food for my brain! Haha, 81 million fake Facebook accounts? I guess people do have too much time on their hands. I know that some fake profiles are used for business and promotional purposes but I bet at least half is just some strangers trying to ''troll'' others over the social media.

    I am surprised that 32% of teenagers think that Instagram is the most important social media tool. That's quite a useful information for the future of Instagram, don't you think? The newer generations might dethrone the big boss Facebook. Definitely, something to keep in mind and to look out for in the future years.

    Wow, those points are very fascinating. It goes to show how social media and technology has grown and continues to grow. It's so surprising to see the number of people that use these sites on a day-to-day basis and to see the rate that they continue to grow each year. Lots of people are dependent on these sites for entertainment, or even for news and updates for things that take place all around the world, which is why these sites will continue to grow to be even bigger platforms.

    I look at teenagers and young adults these days, and I can say without a doubt that Instagram and Youtube are the most lucrative websites for business. I can't imagine life without them. I am amazed at how much time has changed and how each new generation has drastically different technology than the next. I can't keep up!

    Excellent article. I do my best to keep up what's happening with the social media world. The only networks mentioned above that I have not joined are Instagram and Snapchat. I know some people believe that you have be active everywhere on social media. But that is simply not true. If you can be, that's fine. If not, make sure you leave clearly visible “paw prints” in the social networks where you are active. In other words, let folks that you're serious about managing your social media activities and that you work hard at establishing a good online reputation. Social media is your publicity. Don't create bad publicity for yourself.

    Absolutely stunned by these stats! Social media is such a craze in this generation. Many social network users claimed to have scrolled through the "news feeds" the first thing in the morning when they wake up. These numbers are only going to increase in the coming age.     Great post mike and they are great stats wouldn't have thought the numbers would be so huge. Just shows how great social media websites can really be.

    So guess Facebook isn't just for candy crush lol. I know a lot of people who use Facebook to generate unique sales by just creating Facebook pages and groups. Have you ever herd of anyone selling Facebook groups just something thought I would bring up as I seen a few do this . They get Facebook group over say 300,000 members then they sell it , not sure why like as I would keep it as it can be a great resource having that many members.

    I am not supprised at this statististics because I know facebook will take the upper edge and I don't have snap chat, twitter not instagram account. The most convinient way of using the social media is my phone because it keeps my company at boring times and easy to access.

    This is captivating and amazing facts and definitely very good and knowledgeable post. The fact that shocked me is 81 million fake accounts on Facebook, like seriously. Now I feel like I will have some of them on my friend list too. I love Instagram more because I love taking pictures and pizza's fact is definitely right. I saw it many times and even I posted some pizza pictures on my Instagram account too.

    So, 22 percent of 7 billion people on earth use facebook, most of the instagram users are between the age group of 18-29, and 80 percent social media activities happen through mobile devices?
    If most of the people are using social media through mobile devices and mobile devices have ad blockers on the browsers, what is the point in promoting contents through social media?

    When I had read about the influencers in Instagram who are receiving $300 to $600 per post on their endorsement of products, I have plans to creating an Instagram account and establish it as one of the popular even in the local scene only. However, now I seem to be stymied by that statistics that says the bracket below 30 years old comprise 60% of users of Instagram. I am 55 and probably far from that bracket. I wonder if I have a chance to be an influencer. Maybe I have to make a better plan because it looks like a high mountain to climb.
