Do you recommend someone to buy a Mac??

I have not used any apple device up to now,but I needed to get a new computer.Since I have used windows for a very long time,I thought of getting a mac.But OMG they are very much expensive than windows PCs.And also the availability of parts and software are much lesser than for windows computers. So I dropped the idea of getting a mac and bought a windows PC...lol
I know Macs are of higher quality and with much better performance with less bugs, but for me windows PCs are much better in many other ways....
What do you say???

I used a stay of the art Mac at work for more than 2 years now and I have to say Windows is better! Seriously, Mac has enough bugs, trust me!
I simply have little productivity on a Mac, if I switch to Windows my productivity goes up at least 50% no matter what I'm doing.
Mac is all about showing off in my opinion, if you want to be productive and actually make a living with your computer, go for PC and Windows.

If you are very much used to Windows and using a PC that run's Windows moving over to a Mac can be hard. The OS on the Mac is so much different to Windows so much so that it can get a little confusing I found. I remember a while back when I used to work in a school, all they had available when it came to computers was Mac computers and I was so used to using Windows that I found it hard to work with a Mac, granted after a while I did get used to it however I was always so much more familiar with Windows that I could never see myself permanently moving over to Mac.

Many say that Windows PCs are better than Macs....I am wondering why Macs are expensive, even Windows PCs are of good quality....

Honestly, I have never owned a Mac so I'm probably in no position to tell anyone to buy one, but I hear a lot of good things about them if that's any help at all.

well is depends on what you need a Mac for. I like the software that is mac only, such as final cut and logic pro, but they have software similar on windows, the selling point for me with my Mac is the build quality, I'm still using my MacBook pro from mid 2012, and it works almost like new, and I'm on this thing everyday. PC's are cheaper but they usually don't last as long as Macs.

I won't say yes or no since it's essentially your own person decision but I never really liked the Apple products. I feel like they're overly expensive for what they actually offer. I guess it's because of branding. The brand carries a lot of significance and therefore increases the price of the products. We all know Steve Jobs loved that cash.

In regards to Mac. I used it two or three times because a colleague has it but it didn't really impress me. It's crazy expensive here compared to a normal laptop or a stationary computer. I much prefer the good old Windows over Linux. It could take a while to get used to how Linux works and all the tricks you can do with it if you have been using Windows for a very long time.

I personally cant afford. I have used it at friends place and the workplace. And I can recommend it to those who have money. It is one of the strongest OS and also good enough on many counts. I think many people choose to use the MAC. It just makes me wonder if paying this much is worth it. Hope someday linux distros are powerful such as mac and do lot better.

It depends on what's the use you're going to give it! If it's for artsy purpose or graphic design, something like that I would use Mac, however, Windows is way better for empresarial purposes. Also it depends on if you can afford it.

Mac is amazing but I prefer windows because of the short keys like "ctrl+V - Ctrl+C" That's why I prefer windows,
But I like Mac I don't hate it.

Mac has it's own command button. And that's how they do the control c and control v. There is almost everything that mac has on windows. And vice versa. I think it depends on what one needs though. Both are good. Nothing to hate on both side. I think it's just money part that makes things different.

Even though Apple has made improvements over the years in the way the OS and Apple-branded software uses system RAM you still benefit from more. Third-party software is often much less efficient in memory usage and you'll often run into programs with memory leaks (Chrome).
Unless you plan on buying a replacement computer every couple of years, spend the extra money and kit your MBP out with the max RAM and as large an SSD that you can afford. You'll regret it later if you don't do it now.

I think many developers and the designers around the world do use the mac. And they seem to be happy with the purchase. So it's more about how the mac can be usable. Almost every software works fine on mac. And also they have far more RAM than most of the Windows and Linux laptop. I think if someone can afford mac then sure it's more than good enough. But when it comes to price I think lot of people don't want to take the financial risk. And that's where they stop from making final purchase.

I am a PC user but I have used a Mac in the office once in a while. For a non-techie, I’d say that the Mac is more convenient since the operation is simpler and really user-friendly. But if you are used to the PC, it’s not easy to adjust because the simplicity of the Mac will serve as difficulty to the user. Anyway, if I have the money, maybe I will buy a Mac not only for the class that it brings to the user but also because of the speed of the Mac in its operations.
