Where To Get Honest Reviews Prior To A Product Launch?

Hello Freelancers!

I recently started to think about something.. - Reviews.
We all know that reviews are vital for success if you're a freelancer. Both when it comes to selling services on a marketplace like seocheckout, or, when you launch your own products. Right?

What I did in the past, was to simply ask "good members" from warriorforum or similar places, and ask them for an honest review before I launched my ebooks.

However, even Barbara Ling, "*forgot" to leave me a review for my product, even though we discussed this before I even sent her my product.

*Forgot:
I say "forgot" because I don't have an answer for this. Perhaps she forgot, or perhaps she didn't care, or perhaps she didn't liked the product.. I have no answer for this.

Anyhow..
With this said, and done, I wonder.. Where do you go for honest reviews prior to launches?

I could obviously go with the few people I trust, but I don't feel comfortable with using the same people for each product I launch.

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

Oh well that is a tricky one, especially since so many reviews I have read I just don't trust because I can see that it is a paid review or the writer is an affiliate and so giving a completely untrue review.

I've also seen so many reviews where it is obvious the writer has not used the product but has just written a review based on someone else's review. Half the time the reviews are all the same just reworded!

What type of product are you going to launch. I could do a review for you with pleasure if it is something I would use as a blogger Where To Get Honest Reviews Prior To A Product Launch? Just ask me and I will happily do one for you!

Yes, I do notice that a lot of reviews sound fake. I think it is actually illegal in the United States to write a fake review, but too entirely certain. I do know there was a big sting operation in New York, in which people got arrested for creating fake reviews. Recently, Amazon decided to sue the provider websites of fake reviews. So do I trust online reviews? Nope..

There is a huge market for fake reviews for services, and products, and as long as there is a market for fake reviews I will not believe any that I read.

Yeah that's basically how I feel, since I write reviews I on my mommy blog and also on my online marketing blog I have become completely disheartened by the pure rubbish that people are writing online. It is often so clear that the person writing the review has firstly never touched that product, but not even properly researched it.

When I do reviews now I show the product in a Youtube video or I do screenshots of my members area, but even screenshots can be faked.

Fake reviews are so common nowadays, and they reduce the quality of the product in question because they do look fake most of the time. I think it is better to stick to a few good and real reviews rather than have several useless fake ones.
